I moved to Cooloola Cove in April 2021. I am a believer in supporting our local businesses so have shopped at this chemist for all my needs since moving here. I had found the staff to be very helpful and lovely. That's until today! I have an exception from wearing a face mask so I was told to wait outside in the hot sun to be served. My partner had a few words with them but I still put my script in. While waiting in the hot sun another customer went in with out a mask and was served inside. I went back in and heard one of the staff members speaking to another staff member telling him that he was not to serve people without masks in the store but to serve them outside. I asked for my script and said I wasn't going to keep waiting outside - that what they were doing was discriminating and degrading - only to be confronted by two staff saying that my script was being done and to wait outside. One of the staff members was quite vocal behind her mask and aggressive. I told them to cancel my prescriptions and that I would shop elsewhere. The mouthy staff member told me I wasn't welcome back - so I just confirmed that was fine with me and that the 10 members of my household will never shop here again either. No other pharmacies in the area treat their customers this way so I will be giving my business to the ones that do not discriminate.

NOT a family friendly business!!

Some absolutely shocking service from this chemist today. A dad came in with 3 small children, probably all pre-school age, and was effectively bullied out of the place by an angry middle-aged woman, who just seemed to be having a bad day.

Self-confessed, but unapologetic, there were significant wait times in-store due to computer issues. No allowances were made for small children having to wait around in a small shop though… Chastised for a very small baby having a snotty nose (who I’m pretty sure was only in there to pick up a prescription) and made to purchase a hairbrush as one of his daughters was playing with it, and brushed her hair (I think twice?!) with it, the staff were surly, unsympathetic and quite frankly, just plain rude.

Will not be shopping here again if this is how they treat their customers.
