What a LIFE CHANGING experience at the ‘Journeying Within’ Retreat (at The Haven, Emu park). It was truely the first time my brain was able to feel calm and I was able to listen to my heart ‘within’ the true silence and tranquility of this beautiful place. I was amazed at how in the complete silence, the inner work could be done along with the guidance, wisdoms, and personal reflection time with long time volunteer coodinators Elizabeth and Bernie. I have learnt lifelong tools that will aid me in any difficult situation and I have come away unravelled, lighter and more confident to face each day. I encourage anyone feeling lost, disconnected or disillusioned in life to give this a go. You will not regret it. Accomodation is extremely adequate and the one meal and dessert (for lunch) is some of the largest and most delicious food I have ever had (provided by Ocean Brew at time of this review) 5 stars

I went to the 6-day silent retreat at The Haven, Emu Park and it was absolutely incredible!

Bernie & Elizabeth are a very kind and wise couple guiding you safely through the days of self discovery. There is a lot of value in this experience and I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings + oceanview from my room.

I have done a lot of self-development work previously and this has put it all together like the last piece of the puzzle (always more to learn ofc but gave me much more clarity).

I came into this retreat with a lot of doubt in myself. Bernie and Elizabeth provide transformative company and have a passion for healing themselves and others.

Incredibly useful tools are provided for you to face your inner turmoil that you can carry with you out of the retreat.

Love is a big focus and an important one, this retreat will either show you how much love there is, remind you or give you the tools to start living our of love for others and most importantly yourself.

Beautiful meals were provided and were some of the chest meals I've had in a long time.

All of us need to take the time to reflect and process some of the painful moments of our lives so we can recognize how they impacting us and our loved ones.

This silent retreat provides the most in-depth program for clearing our past hurts and trauma and even some intergenerational trauma. I can only give the greatest thanks to Bernie and Elizabeth.

The accommodation and facility is perfect. The catering is divine. The location could not be more perfect. The length is exactly what is needed for changes to occur.

This was a unique retreat that was about escaping a busy life and over-stimulated mind, to focus on learning intensely about yourself. Prepare to spend your days reflecting on your life in tranquil surroundings - I enjoyed spending time under a tree on a grassy hill with a gentle off shore breeze or on the beautiful beach nearby that you always seem to have to yourself. Having always sought music, podcasts or distractions to fill every minute of non-work time, I had never before considered becoming comfortable with stillness and silence - concepts that I had never really understood or felt comfortable with before. Prior to arriving I felt quite lost in terms of my life's direction and my sense of identity and purpose had been challenged. I left the retreat with a new sense of love, forgiveness and had come to terms with the grief and self-limiting beliefs that had clouded my approach to each day. The retreat, for me anyway, was demanding and emotionally challenging, with a lot of reflecting, crying and deep self-assessment, but the process meandered toward acceptance, forgiveness and understanding. It's now a few weeks since the retreat finished and I'm now equipped with some new strategies and confidence. I feel lighter and happier than I've ever felt before, with improvements in my fitness, daily mindset, sleep and general family life. Thank you so much to the gracious and warm-hearted Bernie, Elizabeth and Liz for supporting me through this life-changing 6 days of "journeying within" which has rehabilitated and enriched me in so many ways.

I recently participated in the 'Journeying Within' Retreat held at the Haven, Emu Park. Such a fabulous location this time of year and Elizabeth and Bernie Shelton did a wonderful job of organising and facilitating the retreat program for the 6 nights. I thoroughly enjoyed the pace of and what the program offered. I left feeling more in touch with myself and ready and excited about getting back into life after feeling like I was running on a slow burn beforehand. I would certainly recommend this retreat to any one wanting to make a positive and significant change in life.
