I have been with Dr. Das for 6 years and I have not had any of the issues in the other reviews. Dr. Das has always been kind, helpful, and understanding. (ADHD)

Dr has not explained anything. Didnt tell me results or diagnosis. Just prescribed meds. Had follow up appointment and Dr Das had forgotten everything that was said in initial appointment and seemed annoyed as if I hadn't told him this info earlier. Its my first experience with a psychiatrist and not sure if this is normal? Either way felt like he was just trying to get rid of me as soon as possible. Receptionist was awful on the phone. Unfortunate that this is the NTs only option.

Honestly? Mental health care in Darwin is awful. BUT - Dr Das has been an absolute godsend in helping me and I have thrived since meeting him. He is caring, compassionate and actually proud of my progress. The receptionist is lovely try treating her like a friend instead of a tool to get your appointment. You will spend more than you'd like to because good mental health care .. isn't free .. but you get 40% back on you medicare so go nuts. I have referred many many friends to Dr Das and they have nothing but great things to say so please ignore the reviews its the vocal loud MINORITY that come on here to express their displeasures.

Don't even bother, they will make you release documents only for you to never get any communication in regards to an appointment.

And the lady on the phone should be thrown off a building, Extremely rude and dismissing.

Most Unhelpful person I have spoken too in a medical professional service.

We need a royal commission in to NT mental health services 👍

I waited 5 MONTHS for my appointment, just for them to cancel it the day before

if you want help for your mental health, avoid this place at all costs

I am a retired police officer of 32 years service. I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2017. I went to see Dr Das for a medication review. I might add that I had an alcohol addiction as a cormobity of PTSD and major depression. The addiction was under control. I told Dr Das something and he called me a drunk. He said that I was probably drunk then (at that appointment). Well that certainly helped my mental health. I've seen a few psychiatrist's however none like "it". I now go south when I need psychiatric care.

Rude, lack of care, manipulates minds at time of need then turns patients away when they are really in need. Would not recommend Dr Das to anyone if you are really after mental health care.
And if you are looking to stay at darwin clinic it's nothing more than a hotel that provides half decent food. No real assistance for mental health and staff are very judgemental

I called on opening hours 5 times for 3 days, no response. They answered on a Saturday and confirmed they weren’t closed on the days I tried calling.
I don’t recommend this place for someone who’s looking to get help from my experience.
Also, wait list at the moment is from Feb 2025
