Worst customer service I’ve ever had experienced in Coles. Waiting in the queue to be served. There’s hundreds of customers all over the store and I can see about three staff actually working here. Another example of Price gouging and taking us for a ride. If we have to do all the work serve ourselves to check out etc we should get a substantial discount

I bought 500g of ham, and the employee grabbed all of it and shoved it into a bag like they were feeding a cat or a dog. This is not how sliced ham should be packed! Just look at the photo—you’ll see what I mean. It’s disappointing to see such carelessness and lack of attention to quality. Some employees clearly don’t take any pride in their work.

Coles... you should start knowing how to select your employees to align with your standard.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Chloe and the manager, Dan. As soon as I arrived at the self-service checkout, Chloe asked if she could take the machine I had just started using. When I told her I was still using it, she later accused me of being rude. Shortly after, I noticed a product was priced incorrectly, and when I brought it to Dan’s attention, he dismissively stated that he didn’t have time to ensure every item in the store was stacked correctly. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Dan aggressively yelled in my face, using foul language, and even after I pointed it out, he continued.

I turned to Chloe and said, ‘I wasn’t being rude, so why is he yelling?’—to which she responded by again claiming I was rude. She also complained that the store was busy and that I wasn’t scanning my items fast enough, as if that justified their behaviour. I told Chloe that their behaviour was unacceptable and ugly, and she laughed in my face before sarcastically saying she hoped my day got better. At that point, I lost my patience and became vulgar myself.

The lack of professionalism and customer service from both of them was appalling. Absolutely horrible experience.

I went to Coles Wetherill Park Stocklands on Saturday around 12.30pm to purchase a few items. I would like to praise the young female staff Emily who worked at the self checkout register. Emily was friendly, helpful and kind. She was proactive in assisting me with withdrawing cash from the Eftpos machine. It is a breath of fresh air when I experience such lovely service in Sydney. Management should acknowledge Emily for her enthusiasm and pride in her role 🙂
