I was referred by a local optometrist to the practise for cataract surgery. I was advised that the wait list at Kurri Kurri hospital was only 8 months. The first consultation was running two hours late and there was no apology for the delay. It has been a year on the waiting list and I finally had surgery last week. I was waiting four hours before being taken to theatre at 6pm after admission at 2pm and a light breakfast at 8am. I was not advised that Dr Lee would not actually perform the operation as he was supervising someone performing the operation on my eye.. I also paid for eye drops as recommended at the initial consultation and at 7.30 pm when being discharged from Kurri I was given a script to fill at my local chemist because their pharmacy was closed. There were 30 cataract surgeries done on that day according to nursing staff. They are obviously overbooking and have no regard for patient's inconvenience. The post op appointment at 3.15 was met with a full waiting room all complaining about time management. I was told he was running a bit late but was catching up. I ended up walking out after waiting 1.5 hours and not seeing a doctor. This is not acceptable and I would never recommend them.

Shocking medical service. Every appt at least 1 hour delay. This Dr always takes on too much. Today another 2 hours delay for a consultation. Will never be back.
