I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Karl Lockett. He took excellent care of my foot and knew exactly what needed to be done. I felt like I was in very good hands throughout the entire treatment. Everything was handled very professionally, and his practice was also very beautiful and welcoming. He was extremely friendly and attentive, which made me feel very comfortable and well cared for. I was battling plantar fasciitis since Jan 2024 and decided to go see Karl late last November.

I wasn’t really going for a diagnosis; I knew exactly what I had from researching on the internet, and I literally tried everything to cure it myself.

Vibrating massagers, rolling balls underneath my heels, calf raises, massage by the Chiro, “fasciitis fighter” tool to stretch on, icing it etc. The list is endless!

It’s now just over three months since I’ve started seeing Karl and my pain has completely gone!!! I only wish I’d gone to see him in January 2024 when I first had the pain.

Karl prescribed me with orthotics, and I’ll be honest they are expensive - but definitely worth it. When I had a couple of issues around the material / hardness of them (my heel just couldn’t tolerate the first set), Karl didn’t hesitate to call me and fix the problem by sending out a new set immediately which I could tolerate better. The customer service here was really, really great.

I was a bit worried to ask for another adjustment at first, because my partner has seen a podiatrist in Sydney, had similar price point orthotics made, and the podiatrist wants to charge him to fix them, which I think is wrong - as they’re just sitting at home unused as they cause my partner too much pain.

Karl in that sense was a pleasure to deal with - an honest person who genuinely cares to help fix the problem.

I contacted Karl a couple of months ago after using the orthotics for some time, as I wanted to accelerate healing and try shockwave therapy. I did three sessions, the first of which I did find very painful but tolerable, and each easier over time. These REALLY helped me, but I believe it’s because it was combined with the orthotics.

Not only that, but the shoe recommendations and advice to not walk barefoot at home by Karl really really changed things for me. I was “craving” those soft, cushiony shoes all the time throughout my chronic period of pain with this disorder, and never realised how much damage it was doing to my feet 👣

Anyways - very grateful for Karl’s support as this has been the first time I’ve been pain free in more than 12 months.

From my first appointment Dr Karl was so positive and clearly explained the reason and later treatment process for my plantar fasciitis. It made me motivated to get better from the get go. With his plan I was able to reduce pain in my heel significantly and it made my walking (especially waking up late night and early mornings) so much easier. I had already tried another podiatrist for a collapsed arch and knew something wasn’t right with the orthotics that he supplied. Dr Karl took videos of how I was walking and then scanned my feet to show me in 3D what the issues were. The orthotics I received two days later feel completely right. No need to get used to them, no pain or discomfort at all. Highly recommended, as he specialises in biomechanics of the foot and does it well. Early days but I’m hoping the orthotics plus stretching exercises will sort me out. So far so good.

Borderline miraculous. When everything else failed, including Cortisone, the pain with my Planer Fasciitis was severe. And severe pain gets you down. Enter the Sydney Heal Clinic. I was treated by Karl, over 25 years experience. A true gentleman, and a man who has a deep understanding of the foot. Highly recommend visiting this centre of excellence.

My heel pain problem had been going on for over 6 years. I've been through several phyiso therapy clinic, the issue only got slightly better but never completely heal. After two sessions with Karl, for the first time in 6 years, I didn't feel pain in the morning and didn't need to tip toe for a few minutes after getting out of bed. I must admit Karl is very good and highly recommend him for anyone with heel pain.
