I have been attending this practice for three years with my husband and two daughters. The doctors are great, but as other reviews have mentioned, the receptionists are often oblivious to patients’ stress, rude, and have a condescending attitude. Honestly, they can completely ruin your day and experience. After three years, I think we might be done with this practice.

Yesterday, they called to cancel my appointment because the doctor was feeling unwell. The appointment was for the first round of vaccines for my third child. We agreed to reschedule, but later, another receptionist called saying she couldn’t see my appointment for that day. I received mixed messages, so I decided to call back to confirm.

The receptionist who answered kept repeating that she couldn’t see my appointment and told me the earliest the doctor could see us was in at least three weeks. This would mean my baby would receive the immunisations later than recommended. I wouldn’t have minded as much if it wasn’t the first round of vaccines, and considering I have two other children in daycare bringing home all kinds of viruses. The conversation became heated as she kept cutting me off. I requested to speak to her supervisor, but she refused outright, saying “no” several times. She also asked if I was okay with my baby receiving the vaccines late, which was very frustrating.

I sent a complaint via email and eventually received a message confirming the appointment. However, I was told I needed to make a payment within 15 minutes because the baby is a new patient, otherwise the appointment would be cancelled. Ironically, the original appointment was for the same day and no payment was required, but suddenly after our disagreement, I’m being asked to pay $183 within 15 minutes for an appointment that’s two weeks away. This is the kind of attitude the receptionists have. Honestly, it’s not worth the stress.

I’ve recommended this clinic to a few friends, and my brother-in-law, husband, and kids also attend. The doctors are excellent, but the receptionists’ attitude makes it hard to continue here—especially when you already have so much going on. As other reviews have pointed out, the receptionists are likely driving patients away from the practice.

Dr Farr, in particular, has been wonderful—especially in supporting our son who has some ongoing medical challenges. The whole team is friendly and efficient, and we always feel well looked after. For any chronically ill/ disabled folks: this practice is incredible. Dr May Su is by far the best GP I have seen. Not only does she listen to and value my experiences and concerns, she proactively works with me and my long list of medical professionals to do more than just play catch up. She is, refreshingly, steps ahead of me and takes the time to really understand all aspects of my health. The reception is large and well staffed with lovely people.
