It has a confusing booking system and some incapable nurses. The operator couldn't make an appointment after15mins on the phone, and asking me to come to wait. When I did and waited for over 30mins, the nurse just made an appointment for me and asking me to come back in 1hour again. It's only 2 patients in waiting room, and they just couldn't get it move on. It's such an inefficient unit and waste of public funds. The resources should be reallocated to more effective and efficient units such as Clinic 16 or RPA sexual clinic.

Unprofessional nurse or doctor. Went there 3 year ago. I m Asian but l m student . Also they gave me a chinese reading forum but l did not know chinese reading . She asked me l do massage job or not . Definitely no . If parents send their child to study of course they do have money . Why ask the patient if she work in massage? That's no privacy and disrespectful.l reside in Melbourne but the staff were professional.

Super helpful doctors and very efficient, especially compared with Melbourne Sexual Health Center, which also requires booking. I have to disagree with most of the complaints here.

I have come several times and have always had GOOD experiences, but you should double check the telephone service, as it is very difficult to make an appointment even if it is urgent. I called to have an appointment during the week, the gentleman on the phone told me that the only availability was today in a couple of hours, I didn't even have time to think if I could get there in time since I don't live in the city . the gentleman scolded me saying that I had to make a decision immediately and that there were 5 other people waiting in line, but even I had waited for them to answer me for at least 25 minutes, I don't see why I have to be so quick to make a decision with such short notice, I couldn't even have time to look at how long it would take me to get there by train since I don't have a car. So in the end they didn't give me any appointments even for the next week, and I feel very bad and 0 appointments.

Need to share my experience yesterday usually not a whinger but this place has been going downhill so much

Had minor symptom when passing urine since Monday thus I went to SSHC and was greeted by this old male nurse with glasses. Had an accent maybe French? Rudely talked to me about they only prioritise people with symptoms and my case is not ? And refused to do blood test asking me to book with another clinic, only did urine test.

He then emphasising they were on shortage of nurses, and I was like is this my problem? Complain to your superior instead putting your shit on innocent patients who really need help and sympathy.

Plus we pay tax so that these gov based services get funded

I went in on Monday knowing I have a STD in my throat and they told me they don't start treatment until after the results. Now I have the results positive for ghonerria (which I already knew I had on Monday) and now they want me to get treatment next week! This is absolutely appalling. Last time I came here I was able to get treated same day as the results. Now I have to wait over the weekend and continue to be sick and feel ill. Not happy with the service I have been experiencing here. I understand it's busy but still not an excuse to let me continue being sick for another 5 and a half days before I get treatment. Do better SSHC!!!

Filled my details in at reception, waited to be seen only to be told I have to get a GP appointment because I’m not part of the Sydney population priority because of my age. How is it you go to a free walk in clinic and they say no because of your age. Ridiculous.
