Seems understaffed and badly managed. The cardiologist was good but after the initial appointment and tests, they've been extremely callous with managing follow ups. They insist on a telephone appointment but don't want to specify a time. After I insisted, they gave a date and a rough time frame to expect the call. But I got no call that day. Messaged the next day and got no response to that either. Called back the third day and they still wouldn't give me a specific appointment time. Surprised that a cardiology practice functions with such lethargy in Sydney. I'm sure they could do better.
Update: They did call back after I posted this with a good report saying all was well which probably played into why I got deprioritized I understand life saving stuff can take precedence but sharing that sooner even just by email would've been helpful.

What a top team of cardiologists there are at CATM. I arrived near-death and Professor Ruchin and his team swung into action and quickly diagnosed the problem and then admitted me to hospital while imaging and treatment were organised. I was in hospital for 1 week and each day I was impressed with each of the cardiology team, who took great care to review my progress, carefully examine me and ensure that I understood what was happening. It is really difficult to build a team of doctors who are compassionate, committed and devoted to excellence. I cannot speak highly enough of al the cardiologists involved in CATM and I believe that if you have a heart problem, this is the group that you would want to treat you.,

I would just like to thank the staff in the Mater Cardiology.

I am a patient of Dr Ruchin and he put two stents in my heart about a year ago.

Yesterday I went to my G.P. as I had chest pains for a few days.
He rang Mater Cardiology and I was seen by Dr Hungerford.

As you might imagine I was a concerned about what was happening to me but Dr Hungerford soon made me feel at ease with her kind caring demeanour.
It turned out to be muscular and not cardiac.

I would like to add that everybody in The Mater Cardiology are lovely, professional people that genuinely care for their patients , from the reception staff to the doctors and everybody in between.

The one thing that impacted me was that, there is a high degree of genuine kindness, not only in Cardiology but throughout the whole hospital as well.
