Dr. McConnell has truly changed my life. I suffered from a severe case of varicose veins and pelvic congestion syndrome, which worsened significantly after having children. Previously, I had treatments with several doctors both in Sydney and overseas, including Dr. Anthony Freedman and two specialists at the Vein Institute.
Over the years, I had more than 20 treatments, including vein stripping on both legs, RF laser therapy, and sclerotherapy. Unfortunately, these treatments only provided short-term relief, and I received no meaningful follow-up care. The condition had a huge impact on my everyday life—I was in constant pain and couldn’t wear skirts or shorts due to its aesthetic effects.

Dr. Ryan recommended an ovarian vein embolization, which he personally performed. The procedure took less than 40 minutes, and my recovery was quick, lasting no more than three weeks. Following the embolization, Dr. McConnell began RF treatments and sclerotherapy. Dr. McConnel stood out because of his confidence, knowledge, and the comfort he provided me throughout the process, something I didn’t experience with other doctors.

In terms of cost, everything was very transparent and reasonable, with no unexpected extra fees. I cannot recommend Dr. Ryan highly enough—he is, without a doubt, one of the most reliable and knowledgeable doctors you could choose.
