Terrible sales experience with Tim and the team. Don't trust them with your home.
- Grossly overvalued the property. Regularly advised of 'market feedback' without ever adjusting pricing expectations, including when pressed for this on multiple occasions.
- Terrible communications when we did get an offer, failing to pass on information that would have caused us to make different decisions. Buyer bought another property as a result.
- Left the gas central heating on for best part of the week resulting in a large utility bill. Refused to take responsibility. Luckily we got a meter reading when we left and we have an ACAT. Tim will claim the controller was broken, but as I told him at the time, there is nothing wrong with the on/off button. This was simply negligence.
- Regularly failed to list open home times until I chased this up late in the week.
- Almost every week I had to ask for our vendor report to be emailed. This was a key component of their service offering, with important information to help us make decisions. Some weeks we didn't get it at all.
- Confused potential buyers names and lost apparently genuinely interested buyers.
- Rushed the property to market before we could address things identified in the building report (and have a chance to remove them from the report).
- Didn't pass on evidence of things we repaired to building inspector to get them removed from the building report. This resulted in distribution of inaccurate property report.
- LJ Hooker central office failed to assist resolve issues.

Unfortunately after more than three months of no sale by Tim and team we got rid of LJ Hooker and the new agent sold it in a week.

We used Tim Russell and his team from L J Hooker to sell my Mum's townhouse after her untimely death. Tim was a brilliant agent who achieved a fabulous sale price. But more than that Tim took the time to understand our position, showed care and consideration for the difficult time we were going through and went above and beyond to find the right buyer for mum's house at the right price. I worked in real estate when I was younger and have bought a couple of properties, but I have never met a more genuine, hard working, professional and capable agent as Tim. He made what could have been a really difficult time one filled with confidence, constant communication and ending in a wonderful result. I would recommend him to anyone.

Tim is now resorting to the use of AI to call people and tout for business.
I just received a phone call, purportedly from Tim because ‘he recently sold a property in my area and wanted to help with my property search’.
Problem is, I was looking for a property in 2017 and only went to an inspection he was conducting. I’ve had not other business with him. I’ve also never lived anywhere near Kaleen.
Sure the AI was convincing but essentially it is spam and Tim hasn’t apprised himself on the Australian Spam Laws where the ability to opt-out is not provided.
