Times are tough right now, the staff know they badly need more doctors, & are bravely struggling on with what they have. They do their best to look after us, despite their limited resources. Our son has special needs & a long history of ear trouble & they get him in for his checkups & antibiotics asap, though that is harder to achieve now than it used to be. Over the last 14 years, I've enjoyed great working friendships with Dr Tracy & the reception staff, and dread the idea of ever having to start again elsewhere!?

Beyond poor care. Beyond poor manner from receptionists. Sub par general practice that badly needs to be shut down. Horrific experience with NDIS participants as a support worker.

I have been going to this practice for many years and was very happy with all the staff and service. When my personal GP left the practice, I was very bluntly told to find another surgery. When I did find another practice, I submitted a form to Cardiff General Practice to pass my medical records to another practice and a few days later got a bill for $30 to do so. While I feel $30 is a fair price for the work involved, I did not leave that practice by choice, I was effectively thrown out because they lost a lot of GPs at the same time. This added a heap of salt to the wound. The worst personal part was they did not inform me when my GP left the practice, he was at the time the only Doctor in Australia that was authorised to prescribe the medication I was on. I was strongly advised by my specialist to NEVER go off the medication without his support, and I never would. As it turned out, I was out of medication for about 2.5 weeks. Cardiff General Practice totally dropped the duty of care as far as I am concerned.

Dr Gibbs is fabulous and caring.
It is the rude and unhelpful reception staff who make this practice a dread to visit.
I have changed practices recently after an injury that required the practice to send my medical records to my surgeon.
They made this a difficult process and even at one point said “they didn’t have time”.
Even trying to get an appointment, they speak about the doctors like they don’t like them which comes across unprofessional.
Judging by the other reviews this is a common occurrence for others also.
I have since moved over to another practice and the kindness and care of Elm Rd at Warner’s Bay puts Cardiff to shame.

Been going here for 10 years. Always find the reception staff easy to deal with even when they are busy. Dr Callen is fantastic, and great with my kids. Nurses are also great and try their best to make the kids immunisations a pleasant experience.

I gave 5 stars as Dr Osmotherley and Rajka are the main ones I dealt with over the last 15 plus years and they both have gone above and beyond the entire time for me and my family. I have thanked you many times over the years so you already know this. I have been going to this practice for over 25 years and was extremely comfortable there the whole time. We have to move on now as Dr Osmotherley has left and all other Doctors have closed their books. Thank you for all those years
