It was the worst experience of my life. I was treated really bad. Right after my hip surgery when I was send to my room my iv alarm went off so they removed it saying I no longer needed it even though it contained my pain killer medication. Through the night I asked for some pain relief and the second time I asked I was told to no longer ask for pain medication as I didn't need it. The night nurse was very rude and harsh. Same night when I asked to go to the bathroom for the second time the nurse raised her voice and told me I had gone an hour ago and I didn't need to go. I had to get up myself and drag myself to the bathroom. I was so upset and devastated and in a lot of pain through out the night. The next day I had a fall and hurt my left shoulder, the nurses dismissed it by saying because I didn't bang my head I would be fine. I had a ultrasound done after I left the hospital and I've torn my ligament and got fluid in my shoulder. If they had checked me straight away I could have had my shoulder fix straight away, but they dismissed me. I will never go back to Ashford hospital because as they said I was the big girl in 36 and they just didn't care.

Megan Visser- I owe you special thanks.🧡🙏🏻

I feel so lucky to have had Megan Visser by my side on the day I delivered my baby. From the moment she arrived, her calming presence and warm, supportive nature made all the difference. She stayed with me throughout the entire process, offering not just professional guidance but genuine care and kindness that I’ll never forget.

Megan was incredibly sweet, patient, and encouraging. I truly feel grateful that I had you as my midwife. Megan’s dedication and compassion went above and beyond, and I’ll always be grateful to her for being such an important part of my baby’s birth. She made a beautiful experience even more special. 😊🧡🙏🏻

Many of the nursing staff are lovely, but team leadership and the executive lack transparency or accountability.
My mother’s informed consent and medical confidentiality was routinely disregarded, and when a test was administered after she explicitly declined the response was to deny it ever happened.
In this particular case the outcome was neutral, but that was good luck not good management, and a hospital shouldn’t be run on luck. Incidents such as these should be investigated openly and transparently, and the resistance to doing so suggests a deeper cultural problem in which the safety of patients is a lower priority than covering the arses of staff.

Great hospital with lovely nurses! My wife had surgery here this year and took really good care of her. I was impressed with the food that they served! During her stay she had 3 different nurses and they were all really nice. The rooms were pretty standard but still good. Would recommend.

Every single nurse i came across genuinely cared. They made me laugh at 4 when i was alone and scared. The admin staff were always with a smile and the rooms were lovely modern and clean.

Great hospital. Great service. However, not happy with one staff nurse named Suri in Marleston. She had no skill how to talk to the patient. She didn't even introduce herself to the patient. Upon asking her about the medication and discharge details, she said read the discharge summary and follow what dr said. I know being a nurse, there is nothing new about surgery. However, being a patient, it is very hard specifically when she is your discharge nurse. Discharge summary has also not been signed by the nurse. I have never seen any casual nurse since I have been in Australia(20 years)no interest to talk to patient. Worst was when she first came in the room, she dropped the folder and said I will come later. No name no introduction nothing. Then she came and again no introduction rather she started writing her name on the board. I was shocked becuase other two nurses Rosie and Kerry were amazing. I felt so good having them at night time because this whole surgery was overwhelming for me. Having Suri as my discharge nurse, disappointed me a lot. I can clearly see her lack of interest in patient care. This was not expected specially in a private hospital.

Please give all your staff members patient care training.Because I know for nurses, patients are just an object whereas for patients, nurses and doctors are like GOD as patient totally rely upon them. Very dissatisfied with Suri. Zero star for Suri and 5 stars for Rosie and Kerry (I could be wrong with kerry or terry) however afternoon nurse and night shift nurse were the best.

Good hospital but absolutely dreadful cafe, asked for a toasted ham and cheese only to be presented with a soggy sandwich barely toasted and not many options for lunch, the pie warmer was almost empty by 12 noon. I Like the hospital staff nice but the cafe drags it down, I mean they don’t even have sandwiches prepared to go just some fancy preppy options in the fridge that are like stale overpriced baguettes. Ended up eating an apple of my family members food tray as the soggy ham cheese toasted landed in the bin !!
