Two stars is about right for this place. If what you want is simple, you'll be able to get what you need. Quick script, doctors note, blood test paperwork, no problem. But it's seriously no frills. The admin staff are polite enough but no always super organised. Had quite an unpleasant experience today (29/5) with a male receptionist who chastised me for being 10 mins late despite my doctor running 45 minutes behind - I am aware they're always behind which is why I felt very comfortable coming in a few minutes late. A little grace, some flexibility and perhaps some training would go a long way. I think it's important to remember at a medical centre you're often seeing people on some really bad days - how you interact with them matters a lot. If you seem annoyed and like you'd rather be anywhere else, which was my experience with the gentleman today, it's not the best experience. I hope the centre can use this and other feedback, take it seriously and improve. The bones of a really great community centric medical centre are there.

Really happy with the care I’ve received at Brickworks Medical Centre. The doctors are always friendly, easy to talk to, and take the time to listen and explain things properly. The reception staff are super helpful and make booking appointments really simple. The clinic is clean, well-run. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good local medical centre!

Very friendly front staff who receive the 1 star, unfortunately you then have to deal with rude dismissive GPs who are apparently doing you “favors” for the past 7 months and are not seen as their patient. My trial of care apparently ran out and was told I’m done treating you and you can’t book in with me again. To be then told that you are being argumentative (explaining family prescription dosages) when it’s against the GPs (incorrect preconceived thought) opinion is quite disheartening. Funnily enough family prescriptions and dosages you’ve heard most of your life are accurate so you get to see your GP visibly make this 😧 face when the TGA confirms the patient is correct on dosages, I at least received a half assed apology followed by “I don’t know what just happened”, what a joke of a GP.

Don’t book with Dr.Islam.

I had a very disappointing experience from dr Islam . I came in feeling stressed and needing help, but Dr Islam refused to see me ,when I had an appointment booked in with him , because I was not his regular client and he told me I would have to wait to see my usual doctor and didn't have time for me . I felt extremely stressed and embarrassed by the way I was treated. I expected more care and understanding, especially when seeking medical help

You can book on line if you want appointment through Hotdoc. It is recommended to book, especially for a Saturday as there is only one doctor on. There are toilets and comfy seats. There is normally a 20min wait, but doesn't all doctors. There is a pathology there if you need to give blood samples. I have always found the doctor very thorough.

Me and my partner have been going here for over a year now and yes the wait times are a bit long but thats normal at a doctors office. It's always so busy there so that shows it's a good doctors office. The receptionist girls are really nice and friendly and the doctors are nice to. If your the type that doesn't like waiting or gets upset easily pick another doctors office

Generally good and reliable medical service. Doctors and nurses I attend are helpful and do a professional job.
Only problem is queues but same as everywhere.

Called in advance to see if the doctor was running on time as I’ve waited near an hour before, I thought I heard the receptionist say he’s running 10mins behind come at 11. Was sitting in car park at 11 out the front to call again to see if it was worth getting a coffee no answer for 5mins. Walk in and there two girls. They were just ignoring my call. I told them my name and asked how long the doctor would be. Told me I’d be next. I then waited till 11:40. Went to the counter and asked for an update and then got communicated to that I was late so the doctor seeing patient in the order. So I would have been sitting there a long time. I then explain to the receptionist that I was late cause I ran in advance and was advise to come in at 11 and then got rudely snarked at and was told no I told you 10 minutes and you came in a lot later than that. I spoke back to her how she spoke to me and told her you got stop speaking to people like that. Said there must of been an mis understanding and said I’d just rebook online myself. The receptionists need to get a lot better with communication with clients and their customer service skills, so they aren’t sitting there for hour + long waits or spoken down to like dirt. Won’t be coming here anymore and doesn’t look like a lot of people do, considering the 2 star review rate. Really disappointing that poor customer service and time management stand in the way of people needing medical help it’s such a convenient spot, very unfortunate.
