All the usual, predictable stuff during their sessions. 5 sessions and not one coping mechanism was given. Nothing. Just apps. The psychologist made a clear point of how I’m at 9 and she’d like to see me down at about a 6, and she’d love to see me on valium for a few days, to see how I go, but no recommendations were made to my GP other than a referral for a psychiatrist. The next week, she cut me off without explanation. Now, here I am, dealing with my head on my own, waiting for my upcoming psychiatrist appointment…on August 28th…10 weeks away.
If it’s proper help you’re after, skip these guys. All you have to do is read further down the reviews to see what kind of place they run. What a waste of time. Time that could’ve been spent with someone qualified to help me heal. I’d love an email with some kind of explanation. That’d be nice.

My experience was weird here. For 3 or 4 sessions the psychologist tried her hardest to seem caring and understanding, telling me all the things that she thought I wanted to hear. She seemed focused on financial worries that she seemingly thought I had, which was not the case at all, rather than the impact that my injury has had on my lifestyle and family.
Every week she recommended for me to download apps that she’d already recommended to me the week before, but had forgotten. I’d had the apps since week one. If an app could solve my issues, I wouldn’t need to see a psychologist.
Knowing very well that I have trouble driving because of a workplace injury, instead of canceling my last appointment beforehand, she waited til I got there and ended our session halfway through, telling me that maybe it was too far for me to drive. She also seemed angry about me cc’ing her in replies on an email address that Workcover was cc’ing her in. How was I supposed to know if an email address is a personal one or business when it comes through to my inbox? That’s something she should discuss with Workcover, if their employees are handing out private information, not made me feel small about it.
One week, she was telling me that she almost needs to call me an ambulance, and that she’s really worried about me and that she’d like to meet my wife, the next she was just cold and weird, and focused on my upcoming law suit the whole time. I left there that day more confused than when I first ever walked through their doors. She honestly went from being a good ear to talk to, with promises of EDMR therapy, to repeating the same things every session, relying on an app telling me my legs were feeling heavy and then cutting me off completely, without warning, when I’m feeling at my worst. It was more than unhelpful, pretty much useless but better than nothing in the beginning.
You open right up to these people and they just kick you to the curb like you’re nothing.

Very disappointing experience. Our child gained nothing from the sessions. The psychologist seemed more focused on pushing for additional (and expensive) testing, often following up with persistent emails about availability. Sessions were frequently cut short, and we were even told it was a waste of money because our child wasn’t speaking. To make matters worse, inappropriate assumptions were made in the very first session — including the incorrect belief that we were divorced and that our daughter was a stepchild! Overall, we found the approach unhelpful and unprofessional. We do not recommend this practice.

4 stars only for now because i only had my first session. I was blown away by the effortless, thoughtful and suuuper accommodating psych there. Usually im the one thats attentive to body language but man she crushed it. Anyhoo, waiting on how i go re follow-up sessions before i give it 5 stars. (Trust issues lol)

I had x2 sessions with David Ward. Whilst his sessions were rewarding the clinic has completely ruined my experience. From not informing me that I couldn’t rebate my 1st session to then not getting back to me about the cancellation fee till I received an email the next day with the bill. Miss managed is an understatement. Highly not recommend.

Multiple appointments were cancelled, one was cancelled the day of, and the next appointment was cancelled the day before. They are sure to collect your deposit and make sure you are aware that if YOU are to cancel your deposit will not be refundable.

Their excuse the second time around was that the DR all of a sudden does not have the capacity to take on any more patients. I am very dubious that this would be something that wouldn't be discovered until the day before your appointment.

Terrible support, I now need to revisit my GP who is not available until Thursday to have my referral changed to a different practice.

After my husband had such negative experiences here I decided to cancel my appointments (I’m a new client and hadn’t attended yet) I then got hurried off the phone once I said I needed to cancel all my bookings but I had to rudely and loudly say my deposit before she hung up on me. She then said yeah okay, you’ve paid in full $310 which was never originally discussed with me. It was a deposit I was originally told would only be taken and used my credit card for this so hadn’t seen the statement yet that showed the full amount charged. The receptionist said I did it online, which was untrue as I had done everything over the phone to another receptionist. After then emailing me to ask what account details I’d like my refund to I reply and then my confirmation contains the refund will be processed back onto my credit card, then why ask for bank details (as I had put different).

My poor husband had been talked out of getting a mental health plan from the doctors but then not told he doesn’t get any Medicare rebate back. So went to his first appointment and paid full price and no rebate.
Then he had contracted gastro from our daughter who is a daycare child and had to cancel his 3rd booking (never had to cancel before) and then just got a $55 cancellation fee emailed to him with no communication of this prior or post just that he now owes $55

The phycologist may be good but it is poorly managed and reception staff are not consistent or professional and personal enough.

The place and facility is also very dated and not what you’d expect for paying $300 odd dollars for your appointments

I had six psychotherapy sessions with David Ward. At first, he was warm and empathetic but then, seemed a little dogmatic in his approach. I recommended David Ward to my wife. My wife had two sessions with David Ward. After one session, he shared personal information about my wife’s history unnecessarily to another organisation on a hunch he claims he had. I thought, This is crazy! My wife had the worst psychotherapeutic experience with David Ward. Who wants their dirty laundry aired and shared to others when you trusted a psychotherapist? My wife nearly had a nervous breakdown. But not only that, David Ward has breached his duty of confidentiality to me by sharing things I told him with my wife that he was not meant to. We nearly separated permanently over this and David Ward says he’s a couple’s specialist? My heart broke for my wife. She has special needs. But it gets better. In addition, David Ward has now threatened to breach my confidence to outside parties as well. I’m incensed with the duplicitous nature of David Ward. I feel betrayed and very badly let down by him. I feel even more terrible for recommending him to my wife. What was this man thinking? Theoretically, people are supposed to go into therapy better than they came in, but sadly, this isn’t the case for my wife and I. One silver lining in this whole experience for me, is that even though David Ward’s manner of confidentiality and betrayal nearly tore my wife and I apart, it has now made us stronger than ever!
