Dr Kirlous is an interesting case. He's a stubborn guy, often genuinely charming and funny but always infuriating in that he can never see another point of view. And I end up disagreeing with him over some minutae in most of our dealings. But I can't think of another Doctor who cares more about their patients, and his abilities to calm a patient, make them feel listened to and cared for, and manage a crisis situation are unparalleled. Combined with his medical knowledge, he's one of the best I've worked with. Just be prepared to wait.

Good caring Doctor but I'm putting 3 stars for the wait to see him. There must be a way to ensure your patients don't need to wait over 1.5hrs every time Or allow phone appointments for those who are too busy & dont mind if it's a 4min call anytime of the day that suits the doctor. I asked if the receptionist can call me when my turn is 10min before roughly or when the last person before me goes in but she said she couldn't call, that I would need to call in 45 min to confirm if it's my turn. They note 15min for each patient but it appears the appointment takes about 30min so why they don't just allow for 30min instead that way if someone finishes earlier, it makes up for the other. Or maybe they can send a txt when the person before them is inside and that way the person comes to wait then instead of wait for 3 ppl before them.

This doctor will make you pay just because it’s your first visit and if you don’t live in the area , I find this completely ridiculous. I did ring and explained I was a new patient on the phone. Once I arrived they insisted I pay $70 just because I was either new or outside this area. Avoid this practice. Very poor English skills and was very hard to even communicate. They also said even though I’m Australian I will need to pay.
Avoid this practice and just go across the street where you will have a much better experience. And you can use your Medicare card.
