The wound nurses have healed Mum's huge skin cancer removal wound in a month, while her specialist had left it improperly treated for 5 months. The vascular surgeon was shocked at the hypergranulation the wrong dressings had caused and immediately referred Mum to the Forster Community Health Service wound care nurses. They were so highly trained and the medical are supplies advanced. All the nurses we saw we so kind, reassuring and informative. I have been terrified dressing the great wound daily, being a sole carer without support, following he wrong instructions with the wrong materials, which cost thousands all up. What an incredible relief to have the nurses dressing it twice a week, the wound showing incredible progress each time. Thank you Community Health nurses Brenda, Bec, Tonya, Bruce and Jo. You are heroes and life savers, and have massively improved the quality of our lives ♡
