For months they have been using new virtual parking permits while they kept their old signs saying permit to be displayed. It toke them ages to rectify the matter but during that, the uni was happy to issue fines to students for silly mistakes and they don't acknowledge they have done something wrong themselves. They issued fines for my son for silly mistake and state revenue declined the appeal , mislead by their in correct signage.
The university didn't acknowledge their mistake, further they toke the matter to the court which waived the fines.
(Before asking students to be strict by rules , you need to be following them yourself ).

Two years of my life spent living in one of the best campuses in Australia, which offered great living conditions, is very welcoming of international students like myself, great staff, security, facilities and amenities. Gave you the feeling of a suburban lifestyle within a naturesque world. Love this campus and I miss living here so much!

The University of Newcastle, Australia made repeated false claims that I owed in excess of $9000 in tuition fees. I had to go to the National Student Ombudsman (NSO) in an attempt to resolve the issue. Prospective students should be aware that this is an institution that acts unethically.

To begin, it is extremely difficult to find parking. There used to be a building supplementing multi-level parking; now, unfortunately, a few of those levels are now being used for office space! How crazy is that? Secondly, there is not one single cafeteria on campus…besides an over-priced Subway franchise, there is only one restaurant, which is apparently run by the Vice-Chancellor’s wife. In my opinion, the Vice-Chancellor should be dismissed, since little is being done to improve the University. Furthermore, the buildings are old and dirty, full of spider-webs and debris. Plus, there are vagrants who prowl the campus at night! Not a very safe environment for International students.

HOW DO YOU ALL FEEL ABOUT THE FACT YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO BUY A HOUSE AFTER COMPLETING THIS DEGREE.

One of the reasons is this subject we are completing and the bearocratic red tape associated to it.

NOTHING gets built anymore ! For example the Federal Govt has Billions in Housing Coffer. But due to red tape in 3 years NOT ONE HOUSE HAS BEEN built

I studied at this university a few years ago and got a bachelor's degree in computer science. There was some left wing propaganda 6 years ago however the university had more of a middle ground back then.

Now the university has significant amounts of left wing propaganda in every aspect, when you are on the online platform there is an aboriginal acknowledgement at the bottom of every page. There is also a new module about aboriginal culture, they made this module mandatory, if you want an exemption you have to go through the local aboriginal institute which will deny your application. I don't acknowledge aboriginals I never have and never will. Therefore this module makes studying at the university I previously graduated from, impossible.

This is also a mandatory module about respectful sex written by a person who has obviously never had sex in their life.

The degrees they give out aren't worth anything I applied to over 1000 jobs and never got a job with the degree and had to switch careers.

I'm an Australian citizen so if you are an international student it will be 100x harder to get a job, save your parents the money and choose somewhere else.

Law student City Campus -
The sense of community, the level of support and the fantastic staff and lecturers. I was the student who fell asleep during every lesson in school as well as all other educational coursework I had completed.
I am engaged and motivated almost all the time 😉 I am also very impressed with the actual hands-on focus of practical experience.
