I was initially hesitant to take my mother to Auburn Hospital due to the negative reviews and considered a private hospital instead. However, I want to share my honest experience after my mother was admitted to the emergency department on Saturday evening.

While our initial experience with the triage was not ideal and the wait time was frustrating, I understood it was a busy night. I was patient and decided to stay, and I am glad I did.

Once my mother was admitted to the surgical ward, the care she received was outstanding. Dr. Woo, Dr. Jenna, Dr. Ezabella, and the rest of the team performed her surgery successfully and did an excellent job. The nurses in the surgical ward were highly qualified, very friendly, and incredibly helpful during my mother's recovery. The physiotherapist also did an excellent job.

I know it may be early to write a review, but I wanted to express my gratitude and give Auburn Hospital a 5-star review. If I could give more stars, I certainly would. Thank you to everyone for your exceptional care and dedication. I really appreciate it.

There is no less than 1 star otherwise I would’ve given that.

The staff may claim to uphold patient rights, but their actions tell a different story. The nurse’s behavior was utterly unacceptable, she was shockingly rude, with an attitude that was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Her conduct was infuriating and deeply disappointing.

While my friend and I was in the maternity ward for a balloon procedure, the nurse’s comments during her COVID test were outright inappropriate. Instead of offering comfort or reassurance, she made condescending remarks, such as, If you can’t handle this, how will you handle labor? in a tone that was both dismissive and degrading.

Rather than alleviating my friend’s anxiety during an already stressful time, she added to it through her insensitive and thoughtless words. This is not the level of care or professionalism one should expect in such a critical environment. The service provided was beyond unacceptable, and I would never consider delivering a child at this facility.

Very bad care the midwives are very rude behaviour. My son was so tired in the middle of the night and they didn't give him a bed we had to sit on the chairs whole night. Need more improvement. Need to care and treat all the patients respectfully and equally.

I do dialysis three times a week and I’ve never had a problem. The nurses are amazingly amazing, the parking is great and the hospital in general is very clean.

Letter of Gratitude

Dear Respected Government Officials and Medical Team,

Greetings!

With immense gratitude in my heart, I am writing this letter to express my sincere appreciation for your care and support. This experience has allowed me to truly understand the invaluable dedication of the government and the selfless efforts of the medical team. It is because of your hard work and commitment that I was able to overcome my illness and regain my health.

During my most difficult times, the government provided timely assistance and high-quality free medical care, allowing me to feel the warmth and support of society. The medical staff stood by me day and night, not only treating my illness with their outstanding medical expertise but also offering me comfort and encouragement through their kind words and attentive care, giving me the strength to face the challenges ahead.

I will always remember this kindness in my heart and strive to give back to society with gratitude. I will do my best to help others and pass on the love and kindness I have received. I sincerely wish all government officials and medical professionals who have cared for and supported me good health, success in their work, and happiness in life!
Once again, thank you!

Very poor service specially Doctor Saad in emergency ward, my brother has cut his finger and heavily bleeding, after dressing we were waiting for almost 3 hours to see Dr Saad. And all he gives us advice was it’s not bleeding at the moment and all sergeants are off. We cannot open the tether for you. We asked what if there’s an emergency he said unless you dying there will be a doctor to see you or else you better to go home and wait till tomorrow or Wednesday which is after 3 days…. Very disappointing and disgusting behavior by a public health official. I feel sorry where are we heading in 2025 wow.

I’ve taken my father to emergency at Auburn Hospital about 4 times over 2 years and have been amazed at the level of service received each time. Professional, helpful, fast and efficient care…you put back the faith we once had in our health care system. Thank you.

my dad died here. Dad’s side of family wanted him to die faster and they would make him uncomfortable. Argue in front of doctors yet my side of the family got kicked out and hardly got to see him. The doctors here don’t care about you, even if you’re dying. Please don’t waste your time here, my dad was in palliative care unit.
