I had an appointment today, 27 May, at 9:00am with Dr Fadi Rassam at Oxford Clinic Medical. I arrived at 8:50am, and the receptionist told me the doctor was running late and wouldn’t be in until around 10:00am. She offered to book me in with another doctor, but couldn’t guarantee I’d be seen before 9:30am. No guarantee at all. Honestly, I’ll just say this — pray you don’t get sick in Australia. The healthcare services here leave a lot to be desired. Absolutely disappointing!

Doctor Lam was extremely unprofessional I do NOT reccommend coming here there are many medical practices near Oxford that give way better service and are way more polite. That being said the receptionist was really kind and helpful, whoever you are PLEASE find a better place to work for this place doesnt deserve your kindness!

Genuinely appalled by the service and lack of professionalism, Dr. Lam appeared completely indifferent and dismissive to my concerns. They make you pay first $85 and don't offer you a refund until you ask. Very disheartening. That said, reception staff were quite kind and helpful, which was the only positive part of the experience.

I have been coming to this GP for more than four years. The front desk staff have always had a bad attitude, and lately, it has gotten even worse. Every time I go there, they make me feel like I’m begging them for money.

Except for Dr. Edward, the staff never listen. They don’t even let me finish my sentences before responding with, ‘How do you know?’ or ‘I don’t know!’ When I try to ask more questions, they just say, ‘I don’t have time!’

I recommend avoiding this place—unless you’re seeing Dr. Edward.

I have been seeing Dr. Fadi Rassam as my GP for several years, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is incredibly professional and always provides excellent care.

I do have a suggestion for the medical center, though. Since it also functions as a sexual health clinic, the waiting area can feel a bit uncomfortable with so many people passing through and looking in. I believe that frosted or opaque glass would enhance privacy and make the waiting experience more comfortable for patients.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Dr. Ward’s words were very unpleasant during the whole consultation - This is not me not having empathy about your 6 months of pain, it’s the fact that you came to this appointment and think I can solve what other doctors haven’t been able to solve. I can do nothing more than a specialist because I’m just a GP, so follow up with a specialist.

When I mentioned I’ve been on a waiting list for a specialist during 2 months and their waiting times are 6-12 months, her answer was “well you have to be realistic and be aware that we’re four weeks from Christmas so some doctors clinics might close”
WE’RE talking about health here.. WOW!

I asked what can I do in the meantime if my pain persists, and she nodded/slightly moved/ “you can go to a hospital”
Of course I’ve been to the hospital already, so I said so, and the fact that they only give ibuprofen, and her answer: “then take ibuprofen”

***
I don’t expect any doctor to find out diseases and pain causes in the first appointment, but her words are just unprofessional and disqualify her not only as a doctor but as a human. It is indeed zero empathy towards someone that comes to you looking for help and relief.
Her attitude was discouraging.
I hope she gets to her retirement years and no longer need to deal with people’s sorrows as it seems she’s done with this career path.

Dr Fadi has fit me in several times on extremely short notice. He is kind and compassionate and caring. I am grateful for his help and recommend anyone I know to see him!

This place is extremely disappointing. The reception staff lack professionalism, displaying poor manners and a dismissive attitude as they sit on their phones without acknowledging patients. Additionally, the bathroom is in a deplorable state—filthy and posing significant health and safety concerns.
