My wife had same-day surgery, and I received a call to pick up her medication from the hospital pharmacy before their 5:30 PM closing time. Despite arriving at 5:15 PM, the pharmacy staff were unaware of the medication. They directed me to the nurse who had called, but she didn't provide a prescription, only saying they would contact the pharmacy.
Returning to the pharmacy, I faced further delays before finally receiving the medication: five oxycodone tablets for $22.26, which works out to $4.45 per tablet. Out of curiosity, I checked online and found that Chemist Warehouse offers 20 tablets for just $9.99, or $0.49 per tablet. This hospital pharmacy charged nearly nine times more per tablet!
This experience makes me suspect they insisted I collect the medication from them and withheld the prescription to prevent me from seeking more affordable options elsewhere. I strongly advise other patients to get their prescriptions and purchase medications from external pharmacies to avoid such exorbitant charges.
P.S. I'm sharing this detailed account not just over the $20 difference, but to warn others about this pharmacy's practices and ensure fellow patients are mindful of their expenses. I will certainly never trust this pharmacy again.

Totally hopeless management. 0 accountability. 0 professionalism. Should all be sacked. Absolutely all over the place, no idea what they're doing. Also no transparency. If you're at Norwest Hospital, good luck dealing with these clowns. They won't contact HF of sick patient, and then blame patient and deny and bar them from further dispensing medicine they need for their treatment. They give a notice to patient saying "no more will be dispensed until an account payment is made". What is health fund for? Do they not contact hoapital division at all? And why not actually talk to us, instead of shoving a joke of a piece of paper in the face of a sick person at hospital, to stress them out even more. You don't get average 1.4 stars by being competent.

P.S. One of the only 5 star reviews here on Google is by a guy named Timmy. And there is also a guy named Tim that works there. Top stuff.

Very expensive. I paid double the price for my blood pressure medication than what I normally pay at Optimal pharmacy or Chemist warehouse. And these were supposedly discounted staff rates as I work at the hospital! Never buying here again.

They sold me medication which can cause coma or death if taken with my regular medication. Lucky I checked. Tried to return it untouched and still sealed and they wouldn’t accept it as I had left the hospital and come back.

Had to deal with this company once through a specialist. Got double billed and they expected me to sort it out with the specialist... was stuck as a middleman between a rock a hard place.... the specialist made a mistake and wouldnt fix it and HPS wouldnt sort it out via their agent. 6 months later they recognised their mistake. Wouldnt deal with them by choice if I had my way.

Highly suggest you take your script anywhere else but this pharmacy. If being discharged, ask for the script and not to collect from this pharmacy located in Norwest Private Hospital. Not unless you are prepared to wait for an hour for just two routine drugs and pay twice the RRP.

The pharmacist refused to give our prescription back nor he would give our medication. I am forced to get another prescription from the specialist now. Very rude and arrogant staff. They don't deserve even a single star.

Friendly, busy and expensive because it can! If can ask for script before you leave worth doing! As you can’t use hospital paper work.
