BRILLIANT!! This hospital and all it’s wonderful staff continue to offer the highest level of care to my father. In his most recent admission, the ED staff took no time at all to diagnose the issue and transfer him to Melbourne for specialist care. Cannot speak highly enough of this public facility. Thank you so much!

If you’re having a baby go somewhere else! Have had nothing but issues with this hospital! The antenatal program and hospital system is understaffed and the quality of care is dangerously poor.
They nearly killed me and my first child and deleted the birthing video and never recorded the complications on my file.
I was promised a better experience second time round and ensured there was no need to go somewhere else. Sadly I have had to get a last minute transfer to Melbourne half way through an induction and at my expense as they are too understaffed to continue. I have absolutely no faith in this hospital and would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Had a surgery here this week - very stressful time for me, made easier by the kindness of the staff. Thank you to all, your compassion and your smiles go a long way.

Whilst the senior midwives and doctors were amazing (and the student Anaesthetist did a fantastic job, too), I felt as though I was a Guinea pig for student doctors, in the days leading up to the birth of my son, as well as during my whole labour, to the point I had to quietly tell my midwife ‘no more students’, I know they have to learn and I tried my hardest to be patient but someone so young, already anxious of what’s to come, alone - with only a midwife (and her student, who did an amazing job at running over with water, thank you) as support people, can only take so much. I am now pregnant with my second, and I am still traumatised almost 9 years later, petrified to do it all again. If only I knew then what I know now - knowing I actually have a say and I don’t have to keep tolerating students ‘missing’ and ‘trying again’ until they give up and the doctor takes over and gets it the first time. I hope and pray this experience will be different.

Not the hospital it once was. Packaged food that’s disgusting, wooden utensils you can’t eat with and then you are rushed out the door as quick as possible but not before you spend hours in the departure lounge. Absolutely traumatising experience

A special thanks to Lee & Read from the emergency department. Upon arrival Read supported my daughter & acknowledged her anxiety. Your support & patience did not go unnoticed.
Lee's professionalism & friendliness was welcomed. The way he interacted & explained what he was doing was a huge comfort for my daughter. To also sign her cast once he'd finished applying it, made her day.
The other staff were also great, but I didn't grab their names. Keep up the great work, you all are amazing at what you do & we thank you 🥰.

I am extremely dismayed by the consistent failure of this hospital's staff to provide adequate care. Proper training and a deeper understanding of the importance of their role are essential. When my grandmother was admitted for a stroke, they dismissed her without properly diagnosing her condition, leading to another stroke and fall that broke her ribs. The following two weeks in the ICU and stroke ward were unacceptable, marked by staff who were uncaring and uncommunicative. Her death in that hospital was tragic . Now, my great-aunt is in the hospital for a stroke, and when I called to ask about her, I was met with rudeness and a lack of empathy. The staff did not give her a piece of paper assuring her that I knew she was there and cared like requested, It is appalling that families are treated with such disregard during difficult times. This hospital must address its staffing issues and prioritize compassion and understanding.. do better!
