I recently and inadvertently ran out of six- monthly hypertension script. I asked if my doctor could write up a script for me or failing that see me early this week.
The receptionist came back later in the day with a " no" to writing a script (understandable), however I could not have an appointment to see my doctor for 11 days being 29th June.
I explained that I needed the medication and was told that they are "all too busy to see me especially Dr JW.
They proposed that I avail myself at 8:00 am each morning to try to catch the doctor between patients. The issue for me is that they are a half hour drive away.
The receptionists/practice attitude was too bad, the whole event is unbecoming of a caring medical practice.
I am now contemplating changing practices, although there really is slim pickings in regional Victoria.
