Incredible value. I've run many retreats here. When you hire all 5 cottages for 2 nights or more, the inclusions are fantastic for both groups of friends and retreats. I've used the space for both. The land is stunning. The Entertainment Shed is fantastic for communal dining and hanging out. Sitting by the fire pit under the stars is epic and possibly my favourite place I've ever done it. The Yoga Shed has incredible views and wow wow wow what a space for yoga and activities.

We highly recommend Kurrajong Trails and Cottages to anyone looking for a bushland weekend just out of Sydney. We have visited many times, and each time enjoy the bushwalks, 4WD down to Wheeny Creek, and end the days with outdoor campfires in the starlit sky. Stay for a weekend and leave with an amazing feeling of peace and rejuvenation.

This place is pure magic. A peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning nature, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and fully immerse in the beauty of the outdoors. The property hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, making every stay feel effortless and welcoming.

The beds are super comfortable, the showers are warm, and the space has everything you could possibly need, including a beautiful indoor fireplace, which is such a treat in winter. Every single corner of the property has something special, and I find myself discovering new little details every time I visit.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and always leave feeling refreshed. In winter, I love doing the bushwalks and cozying up by the fire, and in summer, nothing beats swimming in the creek. The best part? It’s so close to Sydney that I don’t need to plan a long trip - just a couple of nights here is enough to reset and recharge.

This place never disappoints, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for my 30th birthday than Kurrajong Trails & Cottages! 🌿✨ From start to finish, the entire experience was magical. The setting is absolutely breathtaking—nestled in the middle of nature, surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, and stunning views. The vibe was pure tranquility during the day and pure fun at night!

We had everything we could possibly need—the cottages were cozy and well-equipped, the outdoor space was amazing, and the hosts made sure we were completely taken care of. As the sun set, the party truly came to life! We danced barefoot on the grass under the moonlight, gathered around the firepit, and just soaked up the incredible energy of the place. 🔥🌙💃

Having nature as the backdrop made the whole celebration even more special, and the freedom to enjoy it all without interruption was amazing. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape or the perfect place to host an unforgettable event, Kurrajong Trails & Cottages is an absolute dream. I’ll never forget this night—highly recommend! 🎉🌿🔥

Am absolutely in love with this place!! Have now stayed in all 4 cabins, and have done all but 1 of the bush walks. Cabins are super cozy if you prefer to skip the bushwalk and read by the fire.

We stayed with three other families with children and it was amazing. The location feels remote but if you need a shop, there's one not too far away. Our kids (3 and 5) loved that everything was heated by fires and the bigger kids loved the bush walks. The barn was a wonderful place to share all of our meals and has everything you might need to prepare food for 20 people. The bush walk down to the valley floor was a really nice way to spend a few hours and all of the kids managed it. The horses were a welcome surprise for them too. Easy to find, the hosts were lovely and on hand if we needed anything. We will be back!

After driving through the beautiful bush road it was lovely to arrive at these quaint cottages. We stayed in Cottage 4, it sits above the other 3 cottages. Very beautiful, remote but still got phone service. Lovely walking trails, we walked down to the river and had the owners 2 dogs lead us the whole way down and up. We saw horses and many deer.||Just loved it, a truely relaxing getaway.

I'll give the hosts 2/2 for being gracious and helpful.

The cottage had a small fireplace which wasn't enough to warm the entire place unless you started the fire early on in the day. Not something we wanted to do as we came to explore the area. The warmth didn't reach the loft area. We bought a bag of firewood because some of the wood supplied was wet. There were cobwebs and a rat that hid in the kitchen on the last night. Everything inside was old and in tatters. They need to upgrade so that it is presentable and the accommodation is not a health hazard. There is no microwave, paper towels, bed warmer, or toaster. They need to inform about not providing these items. The owners might be happy not using them but these are basic amenities in today's time.
The map in the folder was old and unclear. Another reviewer commented about leaving after first night and I understand why they felt that way.
The trail markings had fallen off (bound to happen). So, we tied them back. Would be good if the trail was cleared slightly to remove fallen trees which made it tough to walk around.

The management should provide inclusive options and remove rusty equipment like BBQ/chairs etc. I would explore other properties in the area. If you choose this one, visit Thai Bann for authentic food.
