Been going here for years, and bringing my disabled mother to a specific doctor we felt comfortable with.

Today was told that the doctor in question only works 2 days a week and is booked out for TWO WHOLE MONTHS.

Completely unprofessional and unfair practice to allow such an excessive wait time for a SINGLE general practitioner.

Avoid this place of managerial incompetence.

I’m really disappointed with 1Health Medical Centre. Over the years, I went there because it was convenient and used to bulk bill. However, their approach has become increasingly sneaky.

A few visits ago, I wasn’t charged. The following visit, I also wasn’t charged initially, but later received a call asking for payment because I had unknowingly seen a different doctor. I was surprised, as I hadn’t been informed of any changes. After raising my concerns, the principal doctor apologized, admitting that the staff should have informed me beforehand, and assured me it was all sorted.

However, when I called again for a referral from my usual doctor, they insisted I had to pay because of the previous "mix-up." This is completely unfair and unprofessional.

I won’t be returning and strongly recommend others avoid this place.

Knowledgeable friendly staff.
I case of doubt, they are consulting amongst the team to find solid solutions for individual problems and challenges.
Having their own lab on the premises speeds up service and allows for close collaboration between doctors and lab team.
Definitely recommended!

Not recommended
Today I had an appointment at 9am mainly because I want to do a blood test. I am the first patient but the doctor was late and called me in at 9.10
I was asked how long ago did I do cervical test. I said I did it last time recently. She said she couldn't find it from the record and ask if I did it somewhere else. She asked me a few times and gave me a look as if I am lying or something(speechless).... In the end that record was at the bottom and she didn't find it easily. I still show politeness and didn't show any impatience.
All she did is give me a blood pressure test and weight me then gave me a piece of paper for blood test.
When I got home I got a phone call from reception and tell me it is a mix billing and I need to pay for "consultation " fee OOP ~$40
Excuse me. I will not go in the future.

I can’t rave on about Dr Sean Tan enough, his care and compassion towards you when you go is second to none. I recommend him to everyone he always makes me and my kids so comfortable. I’ve also seen other doctors at this practice and I have nothing but good things to say, even the reception staff is friendly.

We have been happily visiting 1Health Carlingford for our family’s medical needs for 6 years now. We are a family of five - we have three young children. Our usual doctor is Dr Michael. He is very kind, caring, professional and always very thorough; no matter how seemingly small the issue. He often follows up by scheduling another appointment or calling to have a chat, which we really appreciate. We also see the wonderful, smiley Dr Tim and have seen many other great doctors there too. The nurse is wonderful - she has done about 30 vaccinations for us over the years and is very good and effective with kids. On-site pathology is very handy and I’ve never had to wait very long for it. I’ve even had emergency dental work done with the dentist. We are very thankful to have such a wonderful, comprehensive medical and dental clinic on our doorstep. We highly recommend 1 Health Carlingford.

I have been visiting this medical centre for over 7 years. The receptionists Lucy and Jane are always friendly and helpful. Dr Winnie Wong has been my Doctor during the time I have been coming to this practice. She is the best Doctor I have ever had. She is kind, caring and very thorough and never rushes the appointment and provides excellent follow-up care and will do what ever is required to secure timely appointments with specialists. Highly recommend this medical practice.

Dr Sean has been my daughter's GP since she was a baby and I started seeing him as well. He's thorough and caring, always take time to address concerns and offers solutions. He's very busy but never rushes the appointment. My husband sees Dr Tim & Dr Michael and said they are fantastic too. Highly recommend this medical practice.
