I've only ever had positive experiences at Sunraysia Medical Centre. Great doctors, fantastic nurses & the ladies at reception are awesome! The app is easy to use & very convenient for making & changing appointments. Big bonus is that children are given priority & they do their absolute best for them to be seen by a doctor.

All staff are friendly and welcoming and the environment is always very clean.
The clinic is busy however, there is an app available to patients to help manage appointments. We can get quick appointments this way. Very helpful for families like ours with young children (also easy to use).
We are more than happy to travel to Redcliffs from Mildura for our appointments.

I recently had an interaction with a receptionist that left me feeling quite unsettled. Having just moved to Robinvale for work, I am in the process of setting down roots here, potentially even buying a house, contingent upon how things go. Part of settling in involved looking for a new doctor, especially because I have a pressing health concern that needs attention.

During my conversation with the receptionist, I explained my situation and was surprised to hear that they do not accept patients who are not expected to visit regularly. This response puzzled me because the frequency of visits to a doctor can often be out of a patient’s control, dependent on their health needs rather than their choice.

I couldn’t help but feel this response was unwelcoming, and it prompted me to wonder if there was an underlying issue, perhaps even related to bias or prejudice. As an Italian who moved to Australia 10 years ago and is now a proud Australian citizen, I have always known Australia to be a welcoming and inclusive place. The implication that my newness to the area or any other aspect of my background might limit my access to healthcare services is concerning and does not align with the Australia I know and love.

I am reaching out to express my disappointment and to seek clarification on this matter. It is important for community services, especially healthcare providers, to be accessible and non-discriminatory to all. I hope we can address this issue constructively.

An 85 year old with a morning appointment was made to wait 90 minutes to receive a flu injection, that was administered within 1-2 minutes. It is difficult to conceive how the schedule could fall behind 90 minutes within an hour of opening.
There is no accountability at this centre for the patient experience. Ultimately the flu injection was administered by the patient's regular GP who observed the unnecessary wait time (i.e. the original appoinment was not fulfilled).
