Should aim to reduce waiting time for patients who have made an appointment in advance. Still had to wait for almost an hour when I arrived. Also, some doctors are thorough and some are not. So, if you get a good one, make sure to remember their name. I made that mistake and got a new doctor in my second visit which didn't go so well. Lastly, some of the people at the reception are not welcoming at all.

My Telehealth appointment was at 1440 , the dr rang me once at 1530 and I missed the call. The dr didn’t try calling again. I was then on hold for 15 minutes with reception who told me the dr is finished for the day and can they fit me in another day. Specific drs here lack a lot of knowledge and do not prioritise best patient care. They are unaware of basic parameters and do not empathise for the patient. Would not recommend this clinic at all, especially Dr Ameer Abud

Love Altona Gate Medical Centre! All the doctors there are very lovely and spend a reasonable amount of time to help get what is needed done. The receptionist and nurses are also very kind and helpful as well. Sometimes the appointments run behind because theyre one of the few clinics that still accept walk ins, which is fair enough. I'd rather wait a couple hrs than over 1-2 weeks, even over a month for an appointment with the doctor. The girls are good with giving notice when it comes to these things and are helpful where they can be. Appreciate them a lot.

If I could give less than one star I would. This clinic always runs late, every single time - in person it's sometimes over an hour wait past your appointment time and today I've been waiting 3 hours and 15 minutes past my scheduled Telehealth appointment and still no call. I have called a spoken to receptionists several times today and they openly admitted that despite my appointment being 11:50am, the in person appointments are being prioritised because they are behind also. Despite me mentioning it's a simple Telehealth to get a script which would probably take no more than 5 minutes. I was trying to be considerate and not go in the clinic & have now had to wait almost a full day to receive a call (which I am still yet to recieve) to get a script and get medication. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have been using this clinic since it opened and have always found the Doctors and reception staff to be professional, caring and extremely helpful. I have had complex medical issues. I have found the Doctors to be very good diagnostically, whereas I have been misdiagnosed elsewhere.
10 out 0f 10 in my book.

If you have a 3pm appointment, you’ll probably get in at 3:30pm. The wait times are pretty bad, and they’ve never run on time every time I’ve been there.

Otherwise, the doctors are just OK. Receptionists are nice at least lol

I’ve been happy as a patient here of six years. I regularly see one GP but even a locum I saw recently was very caring. They are efficient (as they need to be) yet thorough. I never feel rushed. Receptionists seem remote and busy. I generally make an appointment but walk-ins are accepted. The nurses are lovely and very good with blood tests. I’ve been able to also consult with a physiotherapist and a dietician here so I feel well looked after.
