The ED staff were amazing, however the amount of entitled patients who try to queue jump is just astounding, my friend was there having cardiac issues and a guy there with a dog bite he got a few days ago was carrying on about not being seen quicker than others. A lady passed out on the ground while waiting in line to be triaged yet a girl with a broken arm pushed in. Staff are great and cop more critism than they should.

I injured myself a about 10 days ago, had to go to Emergeny Dept. Everyone was kind, thoughtful considerate and full of compassion. A very special thank you to the Doctor Anna, who looked after and fixed me perfectly. She's one of the best doctors I have ever had the privilege to know. Thank you, thank 😊 you. A very grateful patient. Margaret Bradbury.

Had a recent surgical abortion and the whole team were amazing. Everyone I met was kind and explained everything to me clearly. I was very scared about having the procedure done, but I am so grateful we have such knowledgeable and caring doctors and nurses in Ballarat. Cannot thank you all enough

A Dr in ED asked a nurse permission to take my blood, then had no idea how to do it and after a few mins of poking one of my nerves the nurse had to take over 😂 I almost asked if she'd rather I give it a go. Sent me home with gallstones and inflamed gallbladder - no information on what to do/not to do/diet changes I might want to implement. Not a great first experience here but glad it was me and not my kids.
** Have since been back through ED, few days stay, did not encounter that other Dr, but did meet quite a few other lovely doctors and the nurses are amazing!! All of the staff in 3 North were so kind and made sure I was on the mend before sending me home 🙏 can't thank you enough!!

Cannot fault treatment from the outpatients through to surgery. All involved were excellent. However, I was disturbed to find that the ward I was taken to had two male occupants and one other female. I don't think this is appropriate ... should be all female or male but not mixed. Thank you to everyone who looked after me either by phone or in person. regards.

I had an awful birthing experience here from start to finish. The list of let downs felt endless.
The midwife (Heather) was the most scattered person I’ve ever met, and it seemed like it was her first day on the job leaving me frustrated and with zero confidence in her. My husband actually started to jump in to deliver my baby because he felt she was so incompetent.
The junior doctor stuffed up my blood work which led to me missing out on the epidural I was waiting for which was heartbreaking at the time. She also mucked up my Canula insertion and I had to do this twice. When I delivered my baby, all I could do was cry from how awful the whole experience had been as opposed to how happy and overjoyed I was to finally hold my baby.
After delivery I was put in a freezing cold shared room which felt like a prison and only a pathetic thin blanket was given to me when I asked for something warm. This was in June 2024 and it honestly felt as though they don’t have heating at night!
I missed out on dinner because I was asleep when they brought the meals around so was given Vegemite on crackers which is all they could find me.
I couldn't sleep because they make you leave your doors open and the noise levels were ridiculously loud.
I was made to stay an extra night with my baby so they could monitor him for potential problems overnight, except that they didn’t do any monitoring!
They also mucked us around when it was time to be discharged from this hell hole so that we were left waiting for hours for no real reason.
I had two good midwives there I appreciated (Annie and I think Bertie was her name), otherwise I have nothing but bad memories and bad things to say.

Latest stuff up was they lost my ( sent late Nov 2024) referral to the specialist, this was after they confirmed by ( Dec 2024) sms they had received it. Phoned week and a half ago to tell me they didn't have a current referral and that I'd need another one as they didn't have it and no record of ever receiving it. In the less than one week it took for me to go to the GP, which I told them I had an appointment ( for something else but that I'd get another referral) they'd given my appointment away. Received a letter that my long awaited appointment was now, in another three months time. The receptionist claimed it must've been the Dr who changed the appointment. Been feeling quite unwell. I told the receptionist this, she said oh well you'll have to wait until May. No wonder people get late diagnoses..
