TLC Homewood Hallam . Myself and my family have found both the management and staff to be wonderful. Very caring, supportive, compassionate and understanding while my father has been in their care for the past 12 months after we were advised we would no longer be able to care for his needs at home . Management were able to help and assist Monash Hospital and our family in finding urgent suitable accommodation that our father required . Recently our father passed after suffering from advance stage dementia and Parkinson’s the beautiful, caring , supportive team in Ironbark did an incredible job daily with not only supporting Dad but also the family always given daily updates but treating us and Dad with compassion and professionalism . We are very great full to have been able to place our father in such a loving environment knowing he was getting the best care possible . Thank you everyone at TLC Homewood Hallam. Homewood also have amazing facilities for the residents and families . A welcoming cafe, beautiful landscape gardens and a medical centre on site along with lots of other facilities that make visiting your love one an enjoyable outing. 5 stars highly recommended.

If I could give TLC Homewood the highest rating, it would be by deleting all the negative comments left here, because this place deserves nothing but praise! First of all, I would like to praise the management led by the lovely lady Samardzic for the perfect organization and effort to make all the tenants feel as good, happy and satisfied as possible!
Both of my parents have been residents since December 2023, and believe me, the smile on their faces came back when they came to this place! They found a place where they feel much more valuable to themselves, which also restored their self-confidence as well! They found wonderful friends and people to hang out with, especially those from the former Yugoslavia, who speak the same language and regardless of nationality! Believe me, that is one of the reasons why I feel happy that my parents are in such a place! For the staff and the services provided by, me and my parents have nothing but praise too! It is a pleasure to see very friendly relationship between my parents and the staff full of mutual respect! And really Homewood is like one big house where one big family lives in happiness and harmony! The place is very neat and clean with many facilities for fun and different activities of the tenants! Food is delicious and plentyful! As part of Homewood, there is also a medical center where residents can receive the services of a GP doctor, as well as some specialist medical services. There are also often organized trips to shopping, restaurants and other places where my parents and other tenants can feel as if they are enjoying independent living!
Perfect work guys and thank you very much on behalf of me and my parents!

that one male work better learn to talk nicely, and not talk behind my back and complain about me to the eldery. beyond rude and disappointing, could’ve atleast walked up to me and asked nicely and not yell from across the room.
also, we’ve mentioned no canned food for our mother, and yet they still give it. her sodium intake is already high enough, why give her more? when we’ve repeatedly said not to

The CEO cares only about profit and couldn't care less that is why he is excited to hire unqualified staff. They had great caring staff back in 2016 with activities, weekly communion but were all pushed away by bad management. Natasha was the best nurse knowledgeable re: Dementia patients and caring but obviously TLC doesn't support such a staff. A medical centre at hand but never able to get a doctor when needed. Nights were the worst, hardly any staff, food and afternoon tea is served but no help for the resident to enjoy it it's left there to get cold and if its not eaten its thrown away. One has to be there all day and see what actually goes on to truly believe the unbelievable!! Neither the CEO or the Government have any idea. One day they will need care and even all the money in the world will get you proper care.
Hospitals are in dire Strait not having knowledgeable and experienced staff, Nurses and Doctors just imagine the aged care sector. 30 years of neglect and will continue on.

Removed my mother from TLC ( total lack of care ) wasn't given her medication , told her she couldn't have afternoon tea as they were short staffed , forgot to give her lunch , when she did get food it was just put in front of her sealed( she was having sight issues )watched by 2 men while she went to the toilet ! ( no need for 2 men to be in the toilet with her ) her words “ i wouldn't let a dog go there “ .. when i rang and queried why there was no afternoon tea when they are charging over 2,000 a week ..the so called nurse said “ well i’m not getting that much money “

Understaffed. My mother had mild dementia and was docile but she was put on anti psychotic drugs without my approval.
Case manager was a major problem.

My mum was taken into homewood transition care earlier this year. The staff were friendly enough and the meals seemed reasonable and tasty. Sadly the covid restrictions and strain on the staff were very evident and I don't believe the care my mum received was of the highest standard, as I was led to believe it would be by reading the many great reviews. I spent many hours with my mum waiting on help to get to the bathroom or in need of pain management and she was told on many occasions the staff were too busy to get her to the bathroom. Thankfully we had mum transferred to St John of God prior to her passing. I was informed that mum had a nasty pressure sore which was not taken care of appropriately at Homewood. Sorry but I do not recommend homewood for transition care There were many other factors but to many to go into
