My mare and I had an extremely difficult year in 2024 due to her degloving injury. My deepest gratitude goes to Dr Jack and Dr Gareth our surgeon, for answering all of my questions, providing reassurance, and supporting us through to the end. A special thank you to the nurses and stablehands for giving Freya such great care during her time in the hospital. We couldn’t have made it though without the kindness and compassion of the staff at SEEH. Thank you again!

I had my horse in overnight so he could be scoped the following day. SEEH helped me out with finding transport to get him to them. When he was dropped off the staff were so kind and very professional and were fantastic the day of the scope too. The following day I met with the vet who explained to me what to expect. The scoping area was spotless and his stall was clean and tidy. Highly recommend SEEH. Sadly I can't remember the vets name, she and her team were brilliant!

South Eastern has had 2 of my horses go in for different reasons. They are very professional and took great care of the horses when they needed to stay. Even though the costs can be expensive, I felt very comfortable having my horses under their care and wouldn't hesitate to bring my horses back if it's for any type of procedure. Gareth, Jack and the nurses were so understanding and gave me as many options on how to go about having my horses recovered from their injuries.

Always caring, professional and driven to figure out the horse’s problem. Have never had any doubts that they’re the right place to take my horse to.

I can’t praise this place high enough they are taking the most care with my boy Jrod. While we have no idea what’s going on yet or what the outcome will be they are doing everything possible to give him the best fighting chance. Dr jack porter is a true life saver having helped my boys out a few times and helped me when I thought my horse was dying in the paddock.
I won’t take my horses anywhere else

Wow, high praise for Dr Jack Porter. Arriving back home at 6pm (having spent a lovely day with my mare who was acting completely normal at just 2pm prior), I found my mare in the throws of what appeared to be severe colic. Dr Jack arrived within 10 mins of calling, promptly calmed us both down with his excellent bedside manner, and got to work treating her. We watched her intently through the long night with Dr Jack available and providing further instructions throughout. She made an incredibly quick and robust recovery and by the morning was galloping around and nearly flattening me for cuddles which is her usual. Dr Jack, having worked the whole night, then came to reassess her at midday to ensure she was in good health. I cannot praise this vet highly enough. Thankyou Dr Jack at SEEH for saving my most treasured friend - my beloved mare!

I want to thank you sincerely for your care of my miniature horse yesterday. Even though she didn’t make it you did everything you could in the circumstances and were very honest with me regarding her situation. There was absolutely no coercion to influence my decision let her go. I was able to do this because her condition was fully explained to me. There were so many vets and nurses with her right up to the end. We are so sad but at the same time know with certainty that it was the best decision. Thank you so much.
