My personal situation was a spine damaged through infection resulting in pain at extreme levels. I was admitted to hospital where my pain was managed by Dr Simon Cohen. I found Dr Cohen to be very professional, attentive and someone who listened closely to me. Dr Cohen was very considered in his approach to my pain management, supportive and dealt with my condition most effectively.

It was considered that my condition could be dealt with effectively with oral antibiotics and I was discharged. It soon became apparent to me that while the bacterial count was improving my pain levels were increasing.

During this time Dr Cohen remained in touch on a regular basis, even though he was on Christmas leave and it was through his intervention that a decision was made for further investigation. As a result of these tests I was readmitted to hospital for surgery. I am deeply indebted to Dr Cohen for the care he provided while I was unwell but it was this particular intervention that I am most appreciative.

My post surgery pain was not as severe as the pre surgery pain but Dr Cohen and the team ensured my suffering was minimal. On discharge Dr Cohen remained proactive and engaged and is helping me manage the staged reduction of my pain medication.

I am deeply grateful for the care and professionalism Dr Cohen exhibited during my treatment.
