Mary has decorated the collection centre so it is not sterile. The surroundings are friendly and encouraging. Mary is professional and efficient as well as being friendly and able to put me at ease.

I received a blood test on the 06/08/2 at 2:30pm, the woman at the office was unwelcoming, rude and told me to wait there while she took the rubbish out, literally hitting me with the bin bag on the way out, she came back dragging the sign inside did not wash her hands, put gloves on and told me to sit down and began the procedure. While the initial procedure was painless towards the end she began moving the needle around causing some discomfort, once the needle was removed the site began to swell immediately and was painful to touch, she walked away and told me to put pressure on it. Once she returned she noticed the swelling and asked me if I was ok I said no that I was in pain and she told me that it’s just a bruise, and to ice it. She said sorry and “hopefully” it will be ok tomorrow and sent me on my way, as soon as I left the building I began to get upset as my arm was literally swelling under the ice pack. The site continued to swell over an hour and half, doubling in size, resulting in a Doctors visit and a very traumatic experience.
This woman should NOT be practising any sort of medicine or be dealing with the public with such lack of empathy, patience and duty of care. She was clearly in a rush to get me out being Friday afternoon her bags were already packed and sat on the patients bed, even though I was there half an hour before closing time, the entire appointment was quite a disgusting and traumatic experience. I sent a complaint on the same day to the QML website and have since had no response.

It’s now been 9 days since the test and the bruising and pain I’ve experienced is nothing like I’ve ever had before. The photos I attach will show what I have been dealing with.

Narangba main street QML has the loveliest lady working there. I have blood tests for the last 3 mths for chemo and nearly every Friday would see her. She was very helpful and on 95% of trips there were no wait times. Thankyou for making my chemo a little less painful by not having to wait a long timee and deal with awful staff. You were awesome.

I am having chemo and have been having weekly blood tests for my oncologist and go to QML Narangba for them, I have had a lovely lady Mary every time. She has been amazing with my difficult veins and only one of my arms can be used due to a mastectomy and an auxiliary clearance taking out 26 lymphnodes. She is just so caring and empathetic and makes me feel at ease every single time, and is great at finding a working vein. I still have 3 months of weekly chemo at this stage which means 3 months of blood tests and I won't go anywhere else but to Mary for my tests. Thankyou QML for Mary.

Mary did an excellent job finding my difficult to find vein. She was friendly, caring and took her time to ensure she didn't have to dig around to find the vein. As someone who gets nervous about needles, I felt calm and at ease having her take my blood.
