During an extremely difficult time, my family, friends and I were treated with respect, professionalism and empathy. At my request, I was provided private time which allowed me to grieve and say goodbye. The people at Traditional Funerals displayed a level of understanding of family and friends grief which allowed us to celebrate the life of a beautiful partner, mother, grandmother and friend. Our Dad, Mum’s husband, passed away very unexpectedly on the 30th Dec 2021.
From our very first appointment with Kirsty, having never been through such a sad and stressful process, we walked away feeling at ease, happy with our plans, and we also finally felt like we had a way to start moving forward with our grief.
She was truly beautiful, respectful, empathetic, compassionate and very personable. She showed us that she could see our pain, and it also felt like she shared our pain.
Kirsty truly cared, and no request we made of her was too difficult.
She was constantly in contact with us, and always enquiring as to how we were going.
We believe our Dad would have really liked Kirsty too, and can’t thank her enough for everything she has done.

Traditional funerals were so helpful when my mother passed away on Easter Saturday. My brother was visiting hoping to arrive in time for a last goodbye. His time in town was limited so we met with the arranger on Easter Sunday and understood what was needed before my brother had to return home. We were simultaneously organising our father's funeral in my brother's home town so Traditional funerals were very understanding and encouraging when we missed a deadline for photo tribute. The service was seamless and the catering appropriate. The paperwork followup was also swift. We would recommend Traditional Funerals to others without reservation.

I've been to funerals before at Traditional Burpengary and seen nothing but good professional service. Unfortunately, we had a poor personal experience having dealt with the Redcliffe office. All was good when we had our initial meeting with Paul, but eventually his lack of cultural sensitivity really added to our grief. Our mother passed away and was with the coroner's for a week and although they were telling us one thing, the funeral director was saying something else. He even advised us to stop hassling the coroner otherwise we will get put to the bottom of the pile, but our persistence was actually what helped us to get Mum home sooner. All the dates of the funeral service and burial were pushed back due to only making tentative bookings and for dates that didn't suit us. He even had to ring the Burpengary head office to confirm that Mum was able to be picked up, when he initially told us she won't be ready to be picked up until after the weekend (which was not the case at all, as the coroner said she was ready immediately). The major lack of communication between the offices and also to our family and professionalism was disgusting and his response made me feel as though I was at fault. He also failed to mention that there is a difference in the lawn burial plots and the standing headstone plots at Redcliffe cemetery which was a big deal for our family. I can only thank the other company that rescued us on such short notice and were amazing with understanding our faith, cultural needs and accommodating bigger families. Sorry for the poor review after reading some really good experiences for other families, I understand this would be a rare occurrence.
