Highly recommend The Sick Sense workshop for any parents or parents-to-be! I left feeling so much more confident in being able to assess my baby to make informed decisions about his health. I will also be more prepared to know what to do in an emergency as well as voice my concerns and advocate for him in a medical setting. Ilana is warm, relatable & easy to follow - she also feeds you a delicious lunch, an added bonus! Her experience as a paediatric nurse and mum is invaluable!
The workshops are baby friendly so we were able to bring our 4 month old. It was a lovely, comfortable space for me to feed him & put him to sleep. I'll be spreading the word for sure!

We found this workshop really beneficial, and we now feel more confident in responding should our little one become unwell.
I liked how the workshop covered responding to illness, on top of situations such as choking, administering CPR.
Ilana was really practical in her approach, and her experience in the child health care sector was so valuable.
It was great that bub could come along, and Ilana created a baby-friendly environment - essential for us to be able to attend, with a bub who won't take a bottle!
I would highly recommend this workshop to other parents/carers.

My wife and I recently attended Illy’s workshop. She gave us confidence to assess our newborn and develop our ‘sick sense’ we learnt when is the right time to get to the ED vs the GP, how to convey the right information to medical professionals and the ‘head to toe’ ABC’s. We were joined by a small number of other new parents and had the opportunity to share. Illy was relatable and gave great practical advice.
