Possibly the most wonderful experience of my life was coming here. The local tribesmen (i cant remember the leaders name) were very accommodating and even though we didnt speak the same language they were happy to use gestures and mimes to help communicate.

I have to admit i was a bit intimidated at first as i knew as per their culture i had to wear only a loincloth to attend and im normally very modest but they put me at ease straight away with a smile and a gentle nod.

5 stars and two big thumbs up.

Princess Kathryn went into the information centre on Sunday and had a great experience with the lovely ladies. They are full of information and suggested the Burdekin farm stay. Please check this place out, just amazing.

The lady in the visitor centre on June 6 was very helpful with our enquiries. However, a gentleman came in and asked politely for a cup of coffee. She was clearly bored with this idea "I would have to make it for you" she said. Then she reluctantly put the kettle on and didn't make the coffee. He came back some time later and said "Don't worry about the coffee". She just said "okay". No apology. Clearly interested in helping with enquiries, but not making coffee!

Great presentation ,nice and clean, lovely women running the center and most helpful, but I asked about pet friendly accommodation and they had no idea.
I think it's important as alot of us older folk have pets and travel with them especially the single folk it's company for them.
