Doctor Ivor was amazing, no wonder he left. Another sham clinic that has no desire to help their patients.

Edit: I have contacted Admin, with absolutely no help or resolution, my only request is release of another prescription due to national Shortage. Which I believe is reasonable. More than happy to attach the emails but I doubt that will help your business.

Absolutely APPALLING customer service/client care from the Practice Manager, Emily, and the reception staff. From my first interaction I was treated like an annoyance, Emily was rude, refused to answer questions or make an effort to help me book my appointment. This led to it taking months for me to try and arrange this properly, as apparently a full length phone call is required to arrange an appointment even after completing all of the necessary paperwork etc.

After completing everything they asked for, I was then told when I tried to book in the appointment that the psychiatrist has closed his book to new patients. Horrendous management at this clinic, I have no doubt the psychiatrists are top notch and I would have loved to find that out first hand, but they need to replace their admin staff with people that actually care about human beings. You work at a mental health clinic, for gods sake!

I have been seeing Dr Joe for 9 years and Lucas for 4. The ongoing support, care and commitment to improving my mental health has been invaluable. Dr Joe met me at my most acutely unwell time, and has been my doctor ever since. My mental health has improved dramatically. With ongoing support, I now have strategies in place which has enabled me to live a very healthy, productive life.

It’s hard enough being unmedicated with ADHD and you would think a practice that deals with people with ADHD would understand how hard it is for us to manage and book appointments and complete documents.

I called to book for a psychiatrist and was told I need a diagnosis first, I said I already had one but was told I have to be diagnosed through them. When I got into the appointment I advised I’d been seeing a psychologist and had a diagnosis to which the freudian psychologist I spoke to said I didn’t need to do it again, apologised and refunded me. Freudian then requested the diagnosis from my psychologist where I had trouble sending the right documents to the right people but said they’d book me in once received.

I didn’t hear back so rang Freudian to be told the the psychiatrist didn’t want to see me and had rejected the referral and that I’d need to use another provider.

I’m left devastated because this whole process what a nightmare of someone with my condition, it took 4 months to even get an appointment and now I’m left starting all over again and having to wait another 4 months to get in somewhere else. If you have ADHD - go somewhere that understands what it’s like and how hard it is to organise booking to seek help and medication.

Absolutely floored at my treatment here. My psychiatrist was great and I’ve sent so many people to him in the past year. But the management? Wow.

I am an ADHD patient who gets ADHD medication. This means that I get one script that lasts for 6 months before needing a new one.

I accidentally did not fill my final repeat (as people with ADHD tend to struggle with memory) and when I tried to fill it today was told it is expired and I needed to speak to my psychiatrist.

When I called to enquire I was told that I am no longer a patient at that practice.
This was news to me as I have had no correspondence about this from them.
I asked why, and they explained that I have not contacted them since March (which is still within my 6 month script period). I was not told about this, and at the time of my last appointment was not told that that was even a possibility.
There were no reminders or explanation of need for further contact.

I told the receptionist that this conduct is highly irresponsible as their clientele are a vulnerable population. I, myself, work in the mental health industry and luckily have a good support system but many people in the mental health system do not. And this type of treatment can be very damaging. She very patronisingly said she ‘will pass it on to management’.

I am now without my medication, without a new script and have to go through the stress of a new referral.

Will definitely not be back here and will encourage others with complex mental health to stay away as well.

Hand on heart cannot recommend Dr Ivor any more. He is caring, empathetic, asks all the questions and knows his stuff. I would give him 10 stars!

I got recommend from my psychologist to see Dr Ivor Hodgson,he is specialize in ADHD, he is such a nice doctor, he is really easy talk to and patient as well.Everytime you have a appointment with him, he always asking you if there is any others question and if you need other help with anything else, he make your money worth a while and explain things to you! Make sure you understand everything
Highly recommend Dr Ivor Hodgson to everyone who wants get some traetment with ADHD
