I have used several psychologists over the years. I have by far found Grant to be the best! He has helped me get rid of my anxiety, working on my depression and CPTSD. He is easy to talk to, and actually works with you, doesn't just sit there and throw in a word here and there. VERY knowledgeable when it comes to psychology and treatments. I recommend him to anyone who has trauma related mental health issues

I saw Grant for several months for PTSD related problems. He is talented at building a friendly and humorous rapport with his patients. It helped me develop a sense of safety and trust that was crucial for tackling my issues. He’s innovative and insightful when it comes to treatment, and a very compassionate and caring man.

When I finished up, I came away with a clinically significant improvement of my PTSD symptoms (which means I can do normal life again!), and much better ideas of how to manage my mental health in the future.

I saw Grant for workplace related PTSD over several months, including an 8 week block of twice weekly intensive sessions using the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) method as well as CBT and schema therapy. Grant's expertise, calm and kind demeanour and rapport building, and holistic approach to therapy made me feel extremely comfortable in his presence, which is important for allowing the mind to flow freely in EMDR treatments, and achieved excellent results. I highly recommend seeing Grant for clinical psychology.

I've seen a couple of psychologists ad hoc over the years. Each time I've abandoned the idea after 2 or so sessions as I didn't feel I was getting anywhere with my particular concerns and thought self help was more effective. Only one other lady who was nearing retirement (around 15years + ago) was on par with Grant, as she was driven to fix and find solutions, rather than ongoing conversations that seem to be getting nowhere....
Grant cuts to the chase, listens and approaches issues with an astute analytical results driven approach. He is also extremely easy & comfortable to talk to which is evidently crucial. Highly recommended, so glad I found him.

I went to Dr Blake to get a TOVA ADHD assessment in Brisbane today. As anyone undergoing ADHD assessment knows, it has been a long, costly and stressful process seeking a diagnosis. Dr Blake instantly made me feel more relaxed and had a great vibe, I felt respected and like he listened to what I had to say. He dedicated some time to talk about what led me to pursue an assessment before administering the TOVA concentration test and then gave me a short explainer of the results. He also followed up by sending me the CARRS self report survey and sent my parents a survey. It costs $550 for the session and report but I feel it's a solid investment.
