I had a very unpleasant experience at this clinic. It started with the receptionist, who, instead of politely confirming my SMS code, rudely demanded, "Give me your cell phone and I'll check it myself." The nurse who was supposed to take my blood left early for lunch without informing me about the next steps, such as going for an X-ray to expedite the process. Upon her return, she called another patient who arrived after me. When I mentioned that I had arrived earlier, she became irritated and asked the other patient if she could wait so I could be attended "first", showing visible signs of nervousness.

In contrast, the nurse who did my initial triage, including taking pictures and measuring my blood pressure, was very polite and friendly—the opposite of the one who took my blood. Additionally, the doctor was very attentive and treated me with the care and respect that a patient deserves. However, due to the overall negative experience, I hope to never return to this clinic again.

I have been attending McLeod St for some time now, and I have rarely had to wait for my allocated appointment time, and I have always been contacted for telehealth appointments. On occassion this may be a little behind, though I feel compelled to afford a little understanding given I am not being made to wait at the actual surgery, and the appointment done this way is for my convenience. I have never experienced anything less than kindness and professionalism. I noted that another patient had had a not so great telehealth experience. I feel confident saying this is not at all the norm, and if this happened there were most likely extenuating circumstances. I think most GP's work their tush's off. So, from me it's a huge thumbs up. Thankyou for caring for, and about me. Much appreciated😊

Tuesday 3 October 2023. Tried to book telehealth last night on app, unsuccessful. Called 9:35am this morning and spoke to front desk, they book me for 1:30pm telehealth with doctor. By 2:50pm no call received from doctor so I called front desk. She locates my name in appointment but says doctor went home and will return at 6pm. She reschedules my telehealth, I am still talking and she just cuts me off and hangs up. Common 24 hour medical centre where's your duty of care to patients? Complying with all your requirements and can't reciprocate back. Prepared to wait but we've cancelled our afternoon plans to wait for telehealth. All up from 1:30pm to 6pm it will be a 5.5 hrs wait and that's if the doctor calls back on time at 6pm or delays further.

While on holiday in Cairns, my partner fell sick with an acute viral illness and severe pharyngitis. No effect of symptomatic medication after 48 hrs and she had trouble swallowing food. Called at 8.00am. Got an appointment same morning, friendly reception, seen quickly by very competent and friendly doctor . Consultation fees shown and very reasonable and much cheaper than our Swiss home country. Highly recommended if you are a visitor and need medical attention.

Thankyou Doctor Cam with helping me with my son Emmanual .. I am from Brisbane was up in Cairns for a Carnival but my son got sick called everywhere and said they were fully booked out until 2 days later 😔 Then I called Macleod Doctors and one of the ladies in the reception squeezed us in Thankyou so so much. Keep up the great work and I would highly recommend this Doctor Surgeon

Being sick when travelling is just a disaster, especially when it’s an infection that is hard to treat. We had to go to Dr Scott Alford of the Mcleod Medical Centra a couple of times and he was just brilliant; calm, knowledgeable, took his time to address both the condition as well as the psychological side of things, etc. Things were put on urgent since we had an upcoming flight back all the way to Europe. Thanks so much for the patience and all the help!
