I was impressed by the teamwork and compassion that everyone displayed, making it a positive environment for both residents and staff. The facility itself was well-maintained and created a warm atmosphere.

Moved Mum into Bupa Mooroobool 16 months ago and have had a great experience with the whole team at this home.
All the staff are great, with a particular shout out to Shelley and Bella, always go beyond to assist and great attitudes to go with that.
Ros is also great, always keeping an eye out for Mum.

My mother has been a resident for the past few months and our family have been happy with the care she receives here. The staff are always friendly, helpful and happy to answer questions and address any concerns quickly. I appreciate the care that is provided. I would recommend this facility to others.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Bupa for making my Dads place of residence feel warm welcoming and homely. It gives me great comfort knowing that when we say our goodbyes my Dad is in safe hands. He has made many friends with both residents & staff and I am always surprised when he is welcomed back like a celebrity. His health is thriving and his zest for life bigger than ever. Absolutely horrible care. My father moved into Bupa and had nothing but problems. From his pods being stolen and the Bupa not caring at all. ( we ended up tracking the carer that stole them and successfully charged her with theft) to passive aggressive management. My father would be stuck on the toilet for up to an hour at a time. ( I facetimed him for the majority of the time on a few occasions) to mysterious bruises and rough treatment of my father which was all denied by staff. We subsequently moved him to Farnorha to which we have had the best experience. Absolutely night and day. Please do not send your loved ones to this place.

My younger brother Stephen advised me he was in BUPA Mooroobool Cairns on 15/11/2023. I was Stephen’s E.P.O.A. & had not had any experience with Aged Care Facilities. It was an eye opener for me to see the care that Stephen received. The staff were all very respectful & caring towards Stephen & he told me many times before he passed on 29/12/2024 that he was happy to be there, & in fact at the end, he had had a trip to hospital & insisted on returning to BUPA (his home he said) for his end of life a few days later.
RN Selvi phoned me with updates regularly & on occasions other staff did likewise & I was amazed at how many updates I received, but given I live in Mackay it was very important to me, so a big thank you Selvi & other staff. When Care Manager Elvira joined BUPA things went to another level of care & feedback as Stephen approached his end of life, so a big thank you to Elvira. Now let’s not forget Shelly & Jodie in the reception area, they both went above & beyond with their attention to care, detail & greetings, so a big thank you to Shelly & Jodie. Wayne the maintenance fellow was also very polite & helpful when we were clearing the room, thanks Mate. We did not have a lot of interaction with the BUPA Mooroobool Manager Amanda because staff handled daily things, that to me is a well-trained team, so keep up the good work Amanda. Every employee that I interacted with, many whose name I do not remember (sorry everyone), was polite & ready to give advice & assistance. We all know that a well-oiled machine has many parts, & for things to hum along as well as they did for Stephen, all we can say is a BIG THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE at Bupa Mooroobool Cairns from Stephen, Minnette & Rod.

My 87 yo Dad has just been admitted to Bupa Mooroobool as a respite resident, with a view to permanent residency. I'm giving 5 stars for MY experiences with Bupa so far. I'm a complete novice at aged care placement, Jodie was enthusiastic and helpful from my very first phone call and explained procedure & paperwork in plain English. She was a great help through the placement journey. Bella on the front desk was welcoming and put on a surprising number of "hats" during the induction process, definitely a multi tasker! In fact all the Staff Dad and I met were consistently cheerful & welcoming, from the General Manager Nicola & RN June right down to dining room staff & the maintenance guy.
Facilities were bright, open and of course spotlessly clean, and Dad gave a rare smile when he saw his room for the first time.
Very impressed with Bupa Cairns.
