Went to get some help here, ended uphaving 6 police officers dragging me off to the hospital, with no explanation. This experience put me off from getting help for another decade. In that time my life realy spiralled out of control. My experience here was life altering for the worse.
The way the " doctor" misused my trust, left a profound impact on myself being able to speak honestly with medical professionals again.

If. Ur a drug addict and or grog if U want band aid see atods if U want ya life back go do a program in capital city. 12step program where U live at the rehab for months at least as it takes time to fix damaged past time atods do what's best by there book of rules back in 80s. X drug and alcohol ics been clean for a decade ran it ran it good as they no exactly what U going through this day n age all just a number most places charge big money back in the day U in rehab within hr in Sydney still can but due government cut backs Cairns got same as 1991 so U go to cap city or Bali are no optionsi back in the day cold turkey only way not for everyone but if Ur old school U can do it genertions getting soft a. Cairns known as arse end of Australia i was told that 1991 but it was beautiful place like everywhere dogs got it takes months to beat this disease hope helps 1 person not adots fault they try with what tools they get from government unfortunately don't cut it

AWESOME staff, gr8 meals n ive been sober since i did the day atods alcohol course last... theres lots to do there if u feel well enuff and if not u can always have a rest on the most comfy chairs ever n just read. they hugged me when i left n all... it was actually fun even tho i was really sick n weak the first week xxx <3

Dispite other reviews my experience has been nothing but possitive ! First contact staff did exactly what they were suposed to do and cracked a smile when i said goodbye and thank you as i left. Great place! Friendly staff and genuinely empathetic towards my struggle (no judgmental eye rolls or negative energy at all). All the help i could need plus therapy and work experience donating my time! Bloody ripper mate just what i need!. Was unsure when i first walked in but after 5 min aftet i knew this was somewhere that could help me with my sickness. Spiecal Thank you to the first contact staff at the front desk, id take me hat off to you ladies but i dont have it on me head at the moment. Any1 considering getting help plz go there and just sus it out. Its better than doin what you keep doin

The only option for Methadone prescription in FNQ. Extremely difficult to deal with. Unreasonable expectations and impossible lines to toe lest you get punished. Continuity of care is non existent & the majority of staff seem to resent the whole establishment. Especially those utilising the services. (Excepting a couple of good people whom are actually trying to help, although hampered by red tape.) If there were any other options available, use them!)

ATODS, what a amazing place I have had a problem with drugs for a long time, without the support of the wonderful people that work there I would still be using, every time I go to ATODS I'm treating with respect, the receptionist are awesome aswell has the security guard they always say G'day and ask how everything's going, I haven't taken any type of drug from the first day I went there and will not from now on, cheers
