I delivered my second baby at RPA and was induced two days before my due date due to my South Asian ethnicity. The midwives, Donna and Helen, were absolutely incredible—empathetic, supportive, and highly professional.

During labor, my baby’s heartbeat kept dropping with each contraction, but they acted swiftly. They adjusted my position in bed multiple times to ensure everything remained on track and safe.

Even as a public patient, the care and attention I received in the delivery room made the experience unforgettable. The delivery was seamless, and I couldn’t be happier with the exceptional service provided. I’m 100% satisfied!

I had a good experience of delivery my first baby here in May 2022. The midwives took care of me and my son pretty well.
They are professional and I had a hard time about breastfeeding, they helped me out and lend me an electric pump when I discharged from the hospital.

Ps. A bit long queue when I had to go for check up but they are good.

I had my baby at RPA end of November 2024. I was very well taken care from the moment I entered the hospital as my water broke. Lovely Amy from the maternity ward was a delight. I was worried being the first time mum but I was kept informed and guided through out. Stacey and Tess looked after me in different shifts and did everything in their power to ensure my baby delivers naturally. I can not thank them enough. They all came to check on me after the baby was delivered while I was moved to a different floor. My husband and I were apprehensive as I was a public patient but was impressed by the services at RPA. The midwives, nurses and Doctors at maternity ward are true health heroes. Kudos to them.

I visited this hospital for an NT Scan last April and had an ultrasound done. I paid an additional $10 fee to receive all photos in softcopy. They also requested a blood check and assured me that they would send an invoice to my address and the examination results directly to my GP. However, I haven't received anything until now. My GP said they didn’t received any results as well. I have no idea what my examination results are because I can't interpret the ultrasound photos myself, and no one explained them to me. The entire visit feels like a complete waste of time. To make matters worse, the counter staff were extremely rude and unprofessional during the blood check. As an immigrant to Sydney and an international student, I am profoundly disappointed with this experience.

I was transferred from Canterbury to here for my second baby and had the most accomodating doctors and midwives. I had, both my surgery at 20 weeks and Caesarean at 38 weeks also. Thank you to my midwife Keiryn that looked after me throughout my time here, you are amazing!

Delivered my 2nd one at RPA and was under the MAPS program. The OBs I met were generally rude esp if you choose to decline certain tests.
But the midwives were amazing
Very empathetic
And the ultrasounds need to be booked in wayyy advance.
The delivery experience was amazing.
I was allowed to labour on my own without any interventions
They were quick to spot the babys irregular heart beat and give us the options.
Post c section care was spectacular
Again, the midwifes were very nice and were ready to assist.
I would 100% recommend RPA 🙂

I had a good time with the birth center and their midwives throughout the journey. They were all very kind and caring. Sara was so kind and cared for me. Lizzie was amazing too! 🙂

However, when I had gone in to the post natal ward after emergency C, the nurses there somehow were cold considering the person just had a surgery and a new born. I spent 2 nights there and couldn’t wait to get out. The meals were just ok. I had a sharing room and it was so difficult as the other newborn kept crying all night. No visitors not even partner after 8pm made it even more difficult!

Nevertheless would highly recommend the birth centre and the opportunity to have birth there if one can.

I delivered my first baby at this hospital and the service provided by all midwives at the hospital were great and satisfactory. I was induced Labour at 40 weeks being of South asian ethnicity, which I dint understand why when there was no complications throughout my pregnancy. The doctor who was inducing me was very impatient and let the new training doctor do it which was very painful experience for me. My delivery dint go as smooth the delivery doctors expected and had-choose c section in the end.After the surgery,i was moved to a separate room for recovery where my husband was asked to go and pay in midnight to stay the night before discharge(we were never informed prior).

However, the process and the care was spectacular the midwives are very professional and caring for each patient also there MAPS program is so convenient for first time parents.
