Dr Nasim Ahmed is absolutely wonderful and extremely caring for her patients. Other family members have recently made the switch to Kildare Medical Centre and are very happy with their doctors.

We have been visiting this surgery for many years and have always received excellent care. All the doctors are great, but Dr. Nasim, in particular, stands out. She is incredibly patient, kind, and professional. Dr. Nasim takes the time to listen, never rushes through appointments, and makes sure we fully understand the treatment plan. Have been coming here for 8 years. Never ever had any complaints about the service to see my GP or any other doctor. Am very glad to be a patient here. Very grateful. My doctor , Dr Paul O'Grady is the best. He takes time to listen to me and helps me heaps. The lovely ladies at front are all beautiful people. Triage staff are really good. Recently I transfered my medical records from a different medical centre since I am moving to a different suburb and joined the Kildare medical centre a week ago. On 9th September 2024 I booked my first long appointment for the following week, [via receptionist] with Dr. Julia Khaled. I booked my first appointment with this doctor, -based on good reviews about this doctor as my preferred regular GP, because based on Dr. Julia's profile, she treats chronic patients which I do have chronic medical problems. I have never met this doctor before - to my knowledge. On the day before my appointment, I received a call from this medical centre to say Dr. Julia refused to treat me on my scheduled appointment day, without providing me a valid reason. After persistence to provide an explanation, the receptionist said Dr. Julia has made a note on their system that I need to see a different doctor. In my 30 years residing on Australia as an Australian citizen, this is the first time ever, a doctor refusing to treat me and accept me as their patient whom I have never met Dr. Julia before. This doctor should know everybody's time is valuable. I did organise my time off from my work to travel by bus to attend the medical appointment with Dr. Julia Khaled. Therefore, I advise other patients before booking appointment to check whether the doctor prefer not to see certain patients from a specific race or religion rather than you feeling disappointed. For me, the start of the appointment was not a good approach without providing valid reasons for refusing consultation for me by Dr. Julia. Perhaps, I suggest this medical centre at the time of booking appointments, - to add a note besides each doctors outlining their preferences for the religion and race of patients that each doctors prefer to treat, in order to maintain a good prosperous relationship between the doctor and patient. I treat everyone with respect and I do not discriminate anybody regardless of what race or religion they belong to. I only see if they are humane to help each others.
My previous appointment at this medical centre was on 7th September 2024. I reached there at 10:45am for 11 am appointment, however I was called by a doctor at 11:40 am. I was not provided any further information about the delay in my appointment time, by the reception, as a courtesy. My son who was came with me, had to drop me back home and he had to attend his afternoon shift work causing delay.

Honestly if there was a zero option I would’ve pressed that but this practice lacks professionalism which is absolutely outrageous! I went in at around 10:50/11 am and requested to see a female doctor without booking (Appointment). I was told to wait upstairs as i requested a female doctor without booking but one should be able to see me. I waited until 12:45 pm before I went back downstairs to check in when they told me the doctor was with a patient and should see me shortly. At 1:05 pm I decided to leave as they were not only playing in my face but my time as well! If you have no doctors available don't ask people to wait upstairs offer a booking for another time or have them come in when the doctor they requested is available i will not be going back as I’m sick of the health of a black woman not being prioritised or taken seriously. Shame on you guys. Seriously!
