Hopeless , hard to reach
I received a message to call the nurse with the number provided, been trying to call all day and leave the message , how ever no response and call the local number just as useless, why can’t they just call me and speak to me! Instead of leaving messages which is unreachable anyway! And left me all day worrying about my results now! So unprofessional and irresponsible and disrespectful! Shame on you!there were many time I try to call for appointment as well unreasonable that I had to drive to town just to make an appointment! Shame shame shame! Always same excuse not enough stuff too busy !

Get a second opinion.

It is Important to have regular checks.

However, I found the service at Cairns breast screen to be very poor. They did not listen to me when I said I had a lump. The scanner wrongly found no problem. Fortunately I got a second opinion nine months later at another service, which seems to have found the cancer in time.

I’m sure many people like this service, but if in doubt do seek a second opinion somewhere else.

If you are young but you have symptoms of breast cancer, they won’t save your life there just only because you are not old enough and they don’t believe you will die in breast cancer. Thanks for zero help.

Cannot fault BreastScreen Queensland Cairns.
The building is lovely and clean and your wait is very comfortable.
The staff are wonderful and really efficient. You're in and out quickly.

As always the staff were professional and efficient, but they surpassed themselves, I was in and out in 12 minutes. Free, off street parking and five star new premises. Well done BSQ.
