I found the experience to be unprofessional from the beginning with my Dr and it only got worse over the year with judgemental assumptions and a negative antagonistic attitude.
I went away to Victoria for 2 months as my father had terminal cancer and died. While I was away I had to see another doctor for a sinus infection. When I came back home to Tannum sands I had a phone appointment. Before I could even have a chance to speak my Dr said we have sent all your files to VIC. He refused the consultation and refused my prescription medication because he said he doesn’t know me well enough. His attitude is always confronting full of attitude and assumptions. I suggest he should seek a phycological evaluation and treatment before treating any more patients.

My husband and I previously visited this medical center, but one day the doctor we used to see was very rude and even abusive. I find it hard to comprehend how a doctor could act like that. On a positive note, the reception staff are wonderful, and I can only imagine the challenges they face in their daily work assisting that man. It’s truly disappointing!

Great medical practice! I've had quite a few bad experiences at different practices, but at Boyne Island Family Medical Centre the reception and other staff are very lovely but also professional. The doctor I seen clearly cares for his patients - assisted me with being booked in to see a specialist. Though he is very straight forward, it is not at all in a rude way, but rather in a polite manner. Thank you for caring.

I have found this medical clinic to be both very professional and caring.
My father , myself and my partner all attend this clinic as required and are always treated very well.
Since covid began,The professionalism of the front has been totally beyond reproach, with nothing but care and respect being shown to all patients.

Well I have phoned and received the same response from ALL the medical centres in Tannum / Boyne

I was in pain and phoned reception, advised them of my pain. Have you been here before ? I was asked. No, replied, then we are not taking any new patients, I was advised to go the Gladstone Hospital.I was not eben asked 1) How much pain OR 2) Where is the pain ? . I once again advised of just how much pain I was in. . .
Sorry I was told. Well to Sorry wasn't good enough. In a small community, you take on or squeeze in as many appointments as possible. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS .
