Myself and all my family have been attending GCMC since 2005 and in that time, I have always seen quality doctor's and while it's sad to see some go, the newly employed doctors are fantastic too. I've always received quality care, and the medical receptionists are always friendly, helpful and caring.

The doctors are very experienced and always listen to the concerns both my wife and I have and never feel that my consultation is rushed.
Also the reception staff is very helpful and know our health conditions and go out of their way to help to accommodate our visits.
At last the nurses are great and very professional in their dealings with us and keep an eye on our vaccinations.

The best in town GP ( Dr Rayi) , always there for you. Very humble,professional,knowledgeable and very helpful. Nothing is a big deal for him. Facilitates any referrals,lab requirements or scripts in seconds. The one who diagnosed my health condition in first place otherwise,I was visiting a few and none of them was to the point. Would recommend to anyone happily.

After lots of operations and health professional exposure following a major motorbike crash 2/3rds of a lifetime ago, I have been avoiding doctors for many years now. I recently tried a bulk billing practice many kilometres from home and had a very rushed experience and very little assistance apart from a script.

I was loathe to return to that distant practice and my first impressions of Gladstone Central Medical Centre were not so wonderful as there's a big sign at the back of reception about them NOT being a bulk billing practice. On further investigation, it seems SOME of the medical team individually bulk bill for pensioners 65+ (& sub-15 juniors).

Once that was realised, my experience transformed from feeling like an outsider, and instead being accepted into the family!

My attending doctor was very patient with me and did not rush me at all. He filled in some forms, swabbed, cleaned and dressing an ulcer, and (sadly) also gave me a pathology request form for complete blood and urine tests.

There's a 'no appointment necessary' phlebotomist on site, so when I've both fasted, and built up my courage, I can have my fluids extracted for the next steps to be determined. My doctor advised that he would be in contact if the results from my swabs indicated any medications were required, and also when my pathology reports come back.

Very happy with everything at this centre! (The Night Owl Centre's carpark is a nightmare, but that's no fault of this practice).

Update: Just back there to visit the phlebotomist today (she was excellent and I didn’t pass out), and it was a long wait queue for her. Whilst waiting, my doctor noticed me and came back moments later to advise the results from the swabs he took showed that I needed antibiotics and he would give me a script for those before I left! He delivered the script back to me before I had finished with my blood and urine samples.
