Call the practice this morning to make an appointment for my partner who is a non existent patient, reception says the she will have to ask if dr will accept to which he did I then went on to inform her that he has tested positive on a rat test, was told to come down at 3:45 to fill out paperwork ect. To which we waited nearly an hour to receive a phone call to tell us that because he tested positive the doctor won’t see him. Which could have all been avoided if reception had told the doctor when I called that he has tested positive for covid.

My family have been seeing Dr Mal for over 5yrs and me for the last 6 months , he provides proper personal care, knows his patients and knows his stuff.
He is the best GP I've seen in many years.

Dr Mal is a warm friendly caring man. He explains things thoroughly & investigates things thoroughly. I followed him when he moved from another practice in Redland Bay to practise on his own. I feel well looked after ~Im elderly ~ he tells me when I need to renew scripts & blood tests r due. Nothing slips by him. He always investigates health queries & comes up with the perfect solution. Appreciate him very much

I was referred to the lovely Dr Mal by a friend and I am ever so grateful. After years of going to large practices in the area where you can feel you are just number, it was so refreshing to finally go to a practice where you feel they all genuinely care. All the staff are great and know you by name and you are literally treated like one of the family. Dr. Mal's beautiful wife and charming son both work there at times ( I love family businesses). Karen is my favourite receptionist, always smiling, jovial, helpful and professional. Jo, the registered nurse is a real character, kind and excellent at what she does. Dr. Mal is a very good and thorough Doctor who will get to the bottom of any problem. Doctor Mal has an extremely happy disposition which makes you feel calm even when you are worried about something. A very big thank you to all of you for kindness and care, much appreciated.❤

Rude staff on the counter. 1 hour waiting passed my appointment
1 week minimum waits for an appointment time.
1 singular doctor.
Your patients don't have patients for this atrocious display of general practice

1. Initial appointment i made was canceled, then when i was informed it was canceled you had to squeeze me into a time slot because of your mistakes.
2. On multiple occasions ive visited the general practice i have been told to go do my shopping or find other things to do while i wait?
3. I am complaining about the front of desk staff and not your doctor
4. There is more than one occasion i've had a longer wait than an hour, if you're going to nit pick one appointment fine, but I've been a patient for a long time and I've been patient.
5. Banning me from the practice for posting a complaint, is a real professional look, shows a real duty of care, and shows your true colors as a clinic. if a customer of mine had a complaint about a place i worked, and they were a customer as long as I've been a patient at you're clinic maybe i'd ask the patient why that might be, instead of sending a passive aggressive letter through the mail telling me you're not able to see me again, all because of a review i left. I have always had great respect for Dr Mal, However I've always disliked the way the service staff have run the place. I guess posting a negative review was not to your liking and it shows terribly.
seems looking at the reviews im also not the only one that's been told to go for a shop or come back later.

its been quite awhile since i wrote this review, still stands this place isnt good the doctor is as shifty as they come. I can however recommend the victoria point medical centre across the road as wonderful, and DR brodie as very proffesional always friendly staff on the counter that are informative and helpful as opposed to moody/angry/rude all those descriptions fit.
