Worst hospital in the world holding me captive without seeing a doctor. Having security threaten me. And just an all round unsafe hospital. Deserves minus stars. Terrible nurses shocking doctors who are non existent for serious trauma. Can leave you 5 hours at home then 5 hours at the hospital. Pathetic and still no doctor.

Phone operator, answering the phone for the hospital I believe her name is Robyn is absolutely helpful even though I called 7 -10 times with in a matter of hours she still spoke with positivity. I was taken to greenslopes hospital to emergency department I was charged with an upfront fee but they could not do anything for me there was no ENT on call at that time my pressure was 200. The GP on call excellent he stabilized me and the call PA hospital and I was Triaged. I got to PA and was immediately seen to and put into the process off medication and technology her is excellent. These bunch of people are amazing may god keep his special hands on all of them every person their day of duties are filled with love and care. Cheers Angie

I was reluctant to turn up at the mega-busy PA hospital on Sunday night 2 Feb. Having experienced bloating, breathlessness and 7 hours of chest pain, my wife drove me there. The reception was busy, however I was quickly assessed for a potential heart attack, which proved negative.

The doctors are under pressure to assess and help many people. Dr Lily and Dr Rick impressed me with their attention to detail, people skills, analytical skills, clear explanations and treatment to alleviate my pain and restore normal breathing. Their professionalism and patient care must be acknowledged.. Acute stall 17 is like being inside a fridge. Nursing staff Mr Hong provided a warm blanket. Thank you, I am very privileged to receive such great treatment. John

Firstly there are some awesome nurses and doctors here in ED,but sometimes there are not so great ones,that look you up and down and roll there EYE'S at you,be little you.Because you are back.At the moment due to our daughter having SEIZURES we have been told to come,as we are waiting for her up coming appointment with the neurologist.We have been told by others that Ed could do more for us but they won't. Also their a few ED nurses think they are better than everyone else they need a little reality check.

Short review:

Very, very long wait times here! Minimum 4-5 hrs to see a Dr. But others have reviewed that they waited in pain for up to 7hrs and still got no proper treatment. If you need urgent care and don’t want to wait unnecessarily for hours in a room full of sick people, go to a private clinic and pay. There is only one check in nurse who gets the power of rating how sick you are, to triage you against others. I overheard a young lady who came in after me say she lied and she got in ahead of me. WTF. I think she had mental health issues. All I needed was a blood test. I would have been in and out of their hair within 10mins had someone seen me sooner. I left and went elsewhere. Got seen at a private clinic in 20mins.

Dr sent me here to get a simple blood test for possible virus or bacteria infection. My Dr was concerned about possible meningitis and wrote that on his referral letter. Couldn’t touch chin to neck when asked to do so. Flu like symptoms. Was in pain with stabbing migraine and coughing from the aircon. It was bright and noisy in the ED. The lady who checked me in was coughing into her hand, then took my iphone off me to scroll through my symptoms. I could have scrolled for her. This wasn’t a very hygienic move to make. She told me to go to the next window to get a coloured band. I didn’t get any coloured band and was told to sit down. I had one nurse come to quickly take my obs. She was nice and gave me a heatpack for my pain. But she didnt use a plastic sleeve on the thermometer. It went straight under my tongue. How is that hygienic?! Probably caught another virus from that, plus waiting in a room of sick people for so long. Waited 2 hrs here. No further help was received in the emergency department here. There were 25 people when i arrived and people were still coming in afterwards. Im sure i was at the bottom of their long list. Was only told when I had the obs taken that the total wait time would be 4-5 hr to see the dr! I thought did i actually hear her correctly. Then I overheard her say the same thing to another patient when doing their obs. Why don’t the staff say this when people check in? Give people some choice as to whether or not they want to wait or prefer to go elsewhere. I would have left immediately had I been told the wait time at check in. Ended up leaving and going to a private emergency clinic where i was attended to within 20mins. Don’t recommend PA hospital. It cost us $33 in parking at PA hospital and we wasted 2hrs of our lives for absolutely nothing. Honestly…Pay the money and go elsewhere.
