I visited the Springfield Mater for the first time last Wednesday. The male staff at reception was very welcoming and greeted with great kindness and smile.
The nurses at the CT scan were so sweet and kept checking on me if I was ok. They were so gentle and the girl at x-ray room was so polite as well.
Over all I felt so much looked after and cared for.
Even the Hudson cafe girls were really nice too 🥰
I ended up buying a plant for myself from their shop ☺️

I have many regular visits and a major disability. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Willing to work around any more difficult issues. Very greatful for the amazing front and back staff xx thank you ☺

I am absolutely shocked by the customer service I’ve received from Janice on two separate occasions.
I had previously been diagnosed with a blood clot in my thigh in pregnancy and it has cleared up. All I needed was a check up scan. I’m going through mater hospital and they recommended me to do it at the QLD xray mater Springfield just because it was easier for them to get the files. I called to book an appointment and a few days later realised that I couldn’t make my appointment because my husband would be working late & my in laws aren’t home so nobody could look after my small kids (3,1) and there was no way I’m taking them to this scan as they would obviously be scared and restless/ disruptive to the worker.
I informed her that I would like to reschedule to a different date if possible to which she replied with “do you realise how serious this scan is?”
No, Janice. I didn’t realise how serious it is considering I have to jab myself with clexane injections in the stomach every night - I thought I just did it for fun.
She then went on to say that it’s okay if no one can look after my kids because she can do it. I’m sorry what? I don’t even know you.
Are you a qualified childcare educator/have any sort of qualification that you can show me that you’re able to look after my kids?
Do you even have a blue card?
I informed her once again nicely that I couldn’t make it and was sorry.
A few days after that, I found a day that suited me with family to help so I can go to my scan. I called up and spoke to her again (unfortunately) which she grunted and said “you didn’t show up to your last appointment I could’ve given it to someone else”.
Ok Janice I’ll be sure to send you a formal letter addressed directly to you written in English writing that I cannot make an appointment.
I ended up booking with another clinic that was so much friendlier and could suit my time because they understood that it was just a follow up appointment.
Never in my LIFE have I experienced such a horrible person before. I told my Doctor at Mater Hospital and he was just as shocked at what had happened and is encouraging me to make a formal complaint to which I will most likely pursue soon.

Carol and the receptionist were absolutely lovely on Saturday for my visit thank you so much for making feel comfortable and answering all my questions and concerns in such a lovely manner definitely worth the 30min drive I woudltn go anywhere else from now on thanks team 🙂

Tammy went above and beyond to assist and she is a true asset to your company. Your act of kindness made a world of difference, Thankyou for being you. My Husband had an epidural injection in his back by Dr Seedat and is pain free for the first time in 3 years . I have now returned to have injections in my hips after seeing someone else in the year and being rushed in and out and it failing to work . Dr Seedat is professional, takes his time and hits the spot . Thank you to all the beautiful staff and this doctor they really treat you care and compassion

On Tuesday I went for my 20 week morphology ultrasound and was very nervous my previous pregnancy in 2021 was a plus size pregnancy and I was continuously criticised even tho I am not indenial to the troubles my weight contributes to I was still bullied so this time I did extensive research into scan places and was recommended qld xray by mater hospital even then I was still nervous and asked so many questions

I was very welcomed and well looked after by Jenny she even explained to me what everything is and why they do and don't do things and never once complained or made any comments about my weight
