As a naïve 20 something year old with awful acne skin working in Brisbane City I wanted so bad to get my skin to a good level so I came across Irena Morgenstern and opted to have them work with ME on my skin. It was more like WORK with them. The pictures on the wall and the promise of good skin made me so excited so over the course a year and then periodic visits after that I would walk into Irena’s cold clinic with her partner/husband/business man sitting on his throne (desk) keeping watch over you.

When I look back on my many visits I was constantly pressured into buying products (so this could fund the owner’s lavish lifestyle), there was no warmth or understanding from the therapists and I was always in pain throughout my treatment to the point of being in tears. All the formalities were cold. The beauty therapist – I think her name was Jana and she had a European accent – was always so SO rude to me, she made me feel like I was dirty homeless person. She would scold me or huff in annoyance. Unprofessional! Educate yourselves on clientele and how the world works.

I would walk out of my appointment looking beat up crazy. What I’m about to say next, will forever stay with me – I ended up getting a cab home after my IM appointment (rather than catching a bus home) my face was that red and bloody the cab driver thought someone assaulted me!

My skin NEVER improved like I was told it would. If you’re paying THOUSANDS and I mean THOUSANDS, you better produce results for the client. I got better results from my $12 eyelash serum!. I was a young 20 year old who had just entered the workforce and I would end up with $10 in my bank account for the next fortnight after paying for my ONE treatment. I had a Government job so the money wasn’t a fast food wage. I remember walking into work one day and a work colleague told me that she had one appointment at Irena Morgenstern and refused to ever go back. I really should have took that as a sign, asked more questions why but then I remembered, Irena Morgenstern made me pay for a set of treatments up front, rather than to pay as I went. A lock in contract it was where I had to stick to it with no money back guarantee.
Now in 2019 – I have 10.1k followers on my instagram, GREAT skin thanks to a clinic who worked with me, understood my needs, my price range, never ever pushed me to buy products, made sure that when I did buy products they weren’t just shoved at me and have become friends with the therapists. Yet Irena’s clinic made me feel like I had HIV/AIDs and I was going to pass it onto them. It makes me so angry I allowed them to stomp all over me. Bullying tactics I did not deserve.

Don’t go by my username to check your client database, I was a client. The last treatment I got was Fraxel laser (x3) didn’t make ANY difference. I remember my therapist for fraxel was a loud mouthed semi bogan. Jana had long gone at this point. The husband/partner that sits on his throne made a comment one day that because she (the loud mouthed bogan) was sick she was causing him to loose money because they had to inform her clients she was unwell., I was seen by someone else that day.

I don't recommend this place but I'm happy to talk about what a nightmare the experience was.
