Impressive facility with wide corridors and doorways. Plenty of disabled carparks. It should be used as an example of wheelchair friendly facility. The clocks that also outline bookings and in use are equally impressive. Love the piano near the cafe.

Two small negatives. Not sure if the staffed reception and then another check-in at the Brindabella centre is a good use of resources. Just need to turn down the heating as it was too hot.

I stayed at the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit for a couple of months. Every single staff member were dedicated, kind and willing to listen. The group sessions were fine and the accommodation and food were amazing considering it was a free service and hospital. Mark ( social worker) and Aoife (peer worker) went above and beyond and I will always think of them highly. My nurses and doctors and allied health and aha staff were exceptional. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me so much during an exceptionally hard time for me. Xx

This review is only about the chronic pain team. I don't know what the rest of the hospital is like.

I was sent here because I have a genetic disorder that causes constant, severe pain. They had a mandatory introduction session with about 30 people. This session was an hour long and comprised of a powerpoint assuming everyone in the room had lower back or joint pain that would show no finding on any tests. Essentially they were assuming that every single person in the room, who they had never even spoken to before, was making up their pain.

They explained that they are not at all interested in treating pain, and instead believed that they could fix everyone with healthy eating and woo. They bragged about how many people they took off their medication involuntarily, as though leaving people non-functional is something to be proud of. Additionally, the chronic pain treatment here is just group therapy. There is no privacy as the sessions are group sessions.

Bunch of quacks. Don't waste your time here.

This comment is directed to and about the Coffee shop at the hospital.
What dreadfully rude women work there.
The prices are very high and the hot meals look very unappetising .
The coffee could have been nice but, alas, it was as cold as the workers attitude.
Shame…..?
